Jubilant Bhartia Foundation Medical Centre & Mobile Dispensary Services
The community healthcare initiative run by the Jubilant Bhartia Foundation (JBF) provides affordable, accessible public healthcare services in around 16 villages around our manufacturing facility. Since its inception, these services have improved the basic healthcare facilities and empowered the local population by creating health awareness. All underprivileged local residents who visit the medical center and mobile dispensary get proper medical check-up, medicines and day-care services, as well as guidance and education on how to integrate healthier habits into their everyday lives. The JBF medical center and mobile dispensary services covered a total of 2293 patients in the month of January 2024.
Total 1752 patients were covered in February who visited the Medical Centre and Mobile Dispensary and got medical evaluation, medicines, and day-care services, as well as guidance and education on how to integrate healthier habits.
Blood Donation Camp
JBF Team, in collaboration with Unity Blood Bank, achieved a milestone by organising a successful Blood Donation Camp at Jubilant Ingrevia Plant in Bharuch, setting a 2nd-time record within the Jubilant Group. With active participation from employees and contractual workers, total 196 blood units were donated during the camp.
Mr. Atul Sharma - VP & Site Head, Jubilant Infrastructure Limited, Bharuch, came forward to donate blood and set an example for others. The CSR Team was applauded for their relentless efforts in making this event a success. This collective initiative reflects the power of unity in contributing to a noble cause and achieving remarkable milestones.
Swasth Prahari: Malnutrition Programme Awareness Session & Nutritional Kits Distribution
This month marked the 3rd Nutrition Kits Distribution Drive across Vagra Taluka, reaching 400 identified Moderate Acute Malnutrition (MAM) and Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM) children. The height and weight of all children under the project was measured to assess their progress.
The main goal is to improve the nutritional status of malnourished children aged 2 to 6 years. Each Nutrition Kit contained Pediasure Protein Powder (200 gms), Roasted Chana (500 gms), Irani Dates (500 gms) and Jaggery (1 kg). During the distribution drive, Dr. Shailesh Nakum conducted extensive awareness campaigns addressing Aanganwadi workers, mothers, and guardians. The focus was on emphasizing the critical importance of proper nutrition for malnourished children, aimed at enhancing their overall nutritional well-being.
School Health Camps
In an effort to prioritise the health and well-being of rural students, the JBF Bharuch Health Team organised school health camps in Saladara, Argama and Bhersam Primary Schools located within the Vagra Block of Bharuch district. This initiative provided general health checkup, physical examination vital health check-ups and hygiene awareness to 297 students of Grade I to Grade VIII, ensuring comprehensive health assessments and guidance.
Distribution of Digital Weight Machines & Height Meters to Anganwadis
JBF distributed the latest technology Digital Weight Machines & Height Meters to 33 Anganwadis within Bharuch & Vagra Block. This initiative is designed to support and motivate them in providing affordable and accessible healthcare to the local populace, thereby augmenting their capacity to effectively serve the community.
Swasth Prahari: Awareness & Nutritional Kits Distribution to Pregnant Mothers
Swasth Prahari is a dedicated program aimed at enhancing the health and well-being of pregnant women, lactating mothers, children, and adolescent girls in the community.
Through this initiative, JBF provides essential nutritional kits to over 7 pregnant mothers in Kothi village. The kits contain protein powder, folic iron, and calcium tablets, essential for the healthy development of the foetus and the well-being of mothers. Along with the kit distribution, JBF conducted insightful awareness campaigns featuring brief presentations and dynamic Q&A sessions, enlightening mothers on the paramount importance of nutrition during pregnancy and lactation. This initiative is nurturing healthier futures.
Education
Muskaan: Storytelling by Grandparents
Muskaan is an initiative that promotes creativity and innovation among the young minds in the Government schools. These activities are thoughtfully structured and implemented as per a yearly schedule, with each month featuring a distinct theme aimed at enhancing and enriching extracurricular learning experiences.
This month, the Jubilant Bhartia Foundation (JBF) Bharuch team organised a storytelling session by grandparents in the schools. The students played a critical role in encouraging their grandparents to participate and share the classic tales. The involvement of grandparents extended beyond storytelling as they delighted students with timeless songs. The session was cherished by the audience.
Both students and teachers relished the storytelling sessions and the grandparents expressed immense joy, requesting to continue with such wonderful initiatives by JBF at the schools. The session was a memorable one that saw the experienced minds passing on their learnings and values to the young minds and build connections.
To recognise the invaluable contribution, the grandparents were honored with shawls and jute bags by the JBF team. This gesture was a heartfelt token of gratitude for their involvement in enriching the educational journey of young learners.
Muskaan Vigyanshaala: Micro Science Lab
The Muskaan Vigyanshaala: Micro Science Lab project is designed to nurture a passion for science among students from rural backgrounds. Under this initiative, the Jubilant Bhartia Foundation (JBF) has established Muskaan Vigyanshaala, the micro science lab in the primary schools across eight villages – Vorasamni, Vagra, Vilayat, Ankot, Rahad, Saladara, and Arethi – benefiting a total of 1422 students.
The implementation of Science Labs has significantly enhanced the overall learning experience for students, making science education an enjoyable journey. Science teachers at these schools regularly conduct science classes with students resulting in larger engagement as the students participate with curiosity, creativity and a deeper understanding of scientific concepts.
Muskaan Vigyanshaala - Empowering Teachers, Inspiring Young Minds
The implementation of the Muskaan Vigyanshaala: Micro Science Labs, facilitated by the JBF, has significantly benefited rural Government Primary Schools in Bharuch. These labs serve as crucial resources for teachers who had very limited resources and inadequate facilities. Now equipped with advanced tools and resources, these teachers are empowered to cultivate a deep passion for science among the students.
During our 75th Republic Day celebrations, these science teachers participated in District Level Science Exhibitions with the support of Muskaan Vigyanshaala. These results are a testimony as to how the quality education is getting delivered at the grass root levels by JBF.
Khushiyon ki Paathshala- Teacher’s Training and Felicitation
Khushiyon Ki Pathshala (KKP) prepares children to face the outer world with the right attitude and values, fostering overall personality development. This includes building character and personality, making responsible citizen and spiritual development in a fun and effective way using creative and specialised methodology. The approach involves working with selected teachers to enhance their ability to facilitate life skills and active citizenship education in their classrooms. These teachers in turn, train others in their block or district, creating a ripple effect of change in the communities. Additionally, a curriculum is designed for students to practice life skills in their daily lives and engage as responsible citizens. Last month, we trained 45 teachers and this month, another cohort of 30 teachers was trained, directly impacting 792 students. In the current fiscal year, our objective in Bharuch was to reach 60 teachers however, we surpassed expectations by successfully training a total of 75 teachers.
HP World on Wheels Program
The HP World on Wheels Program is a collaborative effort between the JBF and HP India Foundation which is dedicated to advancing digital literacy and education in rural India.
The HP World on Wheels initiative presents a digital learning lab housed within a bus, featuring 20 computer systems, 1 printer, 1 Smart TV with a home theatre, all equipped with Internet connectivity and powered by solar energy. Its principal aim is to promote digital literacy, facilitate E-education, provide Entrepreneurship training, and deliver various citizen services in rural areas.
In January, the JBF Bharuch team successfully conducted Basic Computer Sessions at Derol Primary School, benefiting a total of 52 students (Std. VIth to VIIIth). These classes were designed to equip students with practical skills and knowledge essential for their academic and future endeavors.
In February, the JBF Bharuch team successfully conducted Basic Computer Sessions at Vorasamni Primary School, benefiting a total of 48 students (Std. VIIth-VIIIth).
Muskaan Fellowship: Youth Development Programme
The Muskaan Fellowship is a year-long mentorship and training program tailored for rural adolescents, aiming to nurture leadership traits, guide participants towards a goal-oriented future, and foster active citizenship. This project empowers these young individuals to evolve into Master Trainers, acting as catalysts for positive change in our society. Through their voluntary efforts, these Master Trainers implement comprehensive value education and 21st-century life skills programs in Government Primary Schools. Addressing critical themes like Gender Empowerment, Leadership and Goal-Oriented Mentoring, they empower students to pursue their dreams.
For the fiscal year 2023-2024 batch, a diverse group of young individuals from various communities have been successfully mobilised for the fellowship program. Followed by the orientation program, the Learning Retreat 1 batch have commenced conducting 'Khushiyon Ki Pathshala' – Value Education sessions in various schools. The 'Khushiyon Ki Pathshala' sessions spark enthusiasm and notably enhance students' engagement, deepening their understanding of core values. These sessions instill values like equality, courage, honesty, hope, commitment, kindness, trust, respect, humility, love, gratitude, integrity, focus, safety and care, resulting in overall personality development.
HP ALFA (Accessible Learning for All): Secondary and Higher Secondary Schools Digitalization Project
The JBF in partnership with HP India and the NIIT Foundation, has launched the HP Alfa (Accessible Learning for All) project which aims to bridge the digital divide by providing digital classrooms to government and government-aided secondary and higher secondary schools in remote areas with limited access to educational resources. Under this project, 28 schools have been equipped with digital screens, content devices, computers, printers, and other digital tools, transforming them into dynamic Smart Classrooms.
This project brings technology to the forefront of learning, offering an enriched educational environment that transcends traditional boundaries, benefiting more than 7,899 students. The fusion of technology and education equips students with new-age tools, preparing them for success in an increasingly digital world. The HP ALFA Project exemplifies the transformative impact of collaborative efforts, heralding a brighter future for education in rural Bharuch.
Muskaan Kitaab Ghar
The Muskaan Kitaab Ghar initiative by the JBF is dedicated to nurturing reading skills, fostering learning through literature, and molding young minds. This initiative has facilitated the establishment of micro classroom libraries in 131 government primary schools across the Bharuch district, benefiting 22,842 students. Each Muskaan Kitaab Ghar classroom library kit comprises a collection of 90 storybooks featuring child-friendly literature available in both English and local dialects. Additionally, the schools are provided with a metal open bookshelf.
This initiative has ignited a passion for reading among children. Teachers actively engage in reading and storytelling sessions using the Muskaan Kitaab Ghar libraries. Both teachers and students perceive this project as instrumental in improving learning outcomes, academic performance and skill development among students.
Career Awareness Project
In collaboration with Unifiers Social Ventures Pvt. Ltd., the JBF successfully executed the ‘Career Awareness’ education project across 10 secondary government schools in Bharuch. This initiative aimed to empower students by helping them explore their skills and talents which results in giving a solid foundation in shaping up their careers.
As part of this initiative, informative career walls showcasing various streams were installed in each school. Additionally, comprehensive career counseling handbooks were distributed, accompanied by engaging classroom counseling sessions. The project also included the administration of pre-tests and post-tests across all 10 participating schools.
This impactful initiative is benefiting a total of 1,557 students from all these 10 rural government high schools. The visible positive response from both students and dedicated teachers affirms the importance of career awareness. Students have begun actively exploring and planning their career pathways, while teachers express delight in witnessing the newfound enthusiasm and determination among their students. Together, we continue to equip our students with the knowledge and guidance necessary for a promising and empowered future.
Republic Day Celebrations at Bhersam Primary School
JBF Bharuch, celebrated the 75th Republic Day at Bhersam Primary School by recognising 31 outstanding students from classes I to VIII. They were given trophies for their exceptional academic performance and achievements throughout the year. The entire village actively joined in the celebration, adding to the festive spirit. JBF Bharuch received heartfelt thanks for its commendable CSR initiatives in education from the School Principal, Teachers, the Village Sarpanch, members of the District Panchayats, along with other stakeholders.
Farmers Empowerment Project: Agriculture Spraying Drone
The Farmers Empowerment Project, a collaboration between the JBF Bharuch and FarmBridge Foundation, is dedicated to enhancing income generation in agriculture through value addition. With a focus on educating rural farmers in diverse farming techniques, providing livelihood support, and fostering innovative agricultural practices, this project aims to empower farmers and enhance their overall livelihoods.
Currently operational in 10 villages including Vilayat, Derol, Bhersam, Dayadara, Vahalu, Argama, Saladara, Rahad, Vahiyal, and Sutrel, the program is making strides in transforming agricultural practices in these communities.
On January 1st and 2nd, 2024, Capacity Building Training and Field Demonstrations on Agriculture Drone Technology were conducted across all 10 project villages. During these sessions, the revolutionary impact of Agriculture Drone Technology on farming practices were showcased. This technology provides substantial benefits to farmers by facilitating year-round fertilizer spraying, effectively addressing labour challenges in agricultural operations. With the capability to spray Nano Fertilizers in inaccessible crops like paddy (due to waterlogging) and Castor (due to excess height after a particular stage), this innovative approach significantly enhances agricultural outputs and improves yields for farmers.
As part of our ongoing efforts, we will facilitate farmers' access to drone services for fertilizer spraying, aiming to reduce labor costs, enhance productivity, and increase income generation.
Farmers Empowerment Project: Sortex Machine Introduction, Sesame Seeds Distribution & Hydrogel Subsidy
On January 23rd and 24th, 2024, as part of our Farmers Empowerment Project, we conducted awareness sessions about Sortex machines, which are highly beneficial for farmers. These machines assist in segregating grains based on their color, size, and shape, thereby enhancing the quality of produce and reducing post-harvest losses. We encouraged farmers to utilize Sortex Machine services provided by nearby service providers, enabling them to efficiently sort their grains. This initiative is geared towards ensuring elevated quality standards and meeting the demands of the global market.
Additionally, we facilitated the registration of farmers interested in sesame seed plantation and provided support for purchasing hydrogel for the upcoming farming season. Under this support scheme, the Jubilant Bhartia Foundation offered a 50% subsidy for the purchase of up to 5 bags of hydrogel and a 25% subsidy for purchases exceeding 5 bags but not surpassing 10 bags. Farmers were responsible for covering any expenses incurred for more than 10 bags.
Last month, 132 packets of hydrogel were distributed to 71 farmers and 217 packets of sesame seeds to 78 farmers.
These initiatives aim to empower farmers and enhance agricultural practices in the region, contributing to sustainable growth and prosperity.
Project Nayee Disha: Launch of Assistant Beauty Wellness Consultant Course
JBF in collaboration with the Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (CED), a Government of Gujarat organisation, and Gujarat Women Economic Development Corporation Ltd., launched the Assistant Beauty Wellness Consultant course at our SUC in Bharuch on 17th January 2024. A total of 25 candidates have enrolled in the course. This 140-hour, one-month course aims to teach students the fundamentals of beauty and wellness, including skincare, makeup application, and customer service. The curriculum is designed to enhance their skills and prepare them for employment opportunities in the beauty and wellness industry, with the objective of empowering women.

JBF organised a special celebration in honor of the 75th Republic Day at the Skill Upgradation Centre (SUC) in Bharuch. The event saw the participation of students, faculty, staff, and members of the local community. The day was marked by a variety of cultural programs and activities, including music, dance, and speeches, all aimed at emphasizing the significance of this national festival and the values of unity, diversity, and democracy it embodies.
Additionally, a Certification Programme was conducted to recognise and award certificates to 131 students who successfully passed the examinations in Beautician and Basic Computer-Tally courses at the Skill Upgradation Centres in Bharuch. These students demonstrated commendable dedication and skill in completing their respective courses, contributing to their personal and professional growth.

The 75th Republic Day was celebrated with great zeal and patriotism at the Jubilant Ingrevia Plant, Bharuch. The event was graced by our Chief Guest, Mr. Atul Sharma, Vice President & Site Head. The ceremonial proceedings commenced with the hoisting of the national flag, followed by the singing of the national anthem and patriotic songs, stirring a profound sense of pride and patriotism among all present. Mr. Atul Sharma, in his capacity as Vice President & Site Head, delivered an inspiring speech, emphasising the significance of the day and the cherished values it embodies. This poignant moment was followed by the distribution of prizes to the dedicated security staff members, acknowledging their invaluable contributions to the organization. Towards the end, the joyous spirit of the occasion continued with the commencement of sweet distribution, fostering a sense of unity and camaraderie among all attendees.
National Science Day Celebration
The implementation of Muskaan Vigyanshaala: Micro Science Labs, facilitated by the Jubilant Bhartia Foundation (JBF), has brought about significant benefits to rural government primary schools in Bharuch.
During National Science Day, science exhibitions were organised at the school level, showcasing the talents nurtured with the support of Muskaan Vigyanshaala: Micro Science Labs established by the JBF. This highlights the successful outcomes of the JBF’s Muskaan Vigyanshaala: Micro Science Lab project in fostering science education in rural government primary schools. Indeed, the Jubilant Bhartia Foundation has empowered science teachers and students in rural government primary schools in Bharuch by establishing these science labs.

Farmers Empowerment Project
The Farmers Empowerment Project, a collaboration between the JBF Bharuch and FarmBridge Foundation is currently operational in 10 villages including Vilayat, Derol, Bhersam, Dayadara, Vahalu, Argama, Saladara, Rahad, Vahiyal, and Sutrel, the program is making strides in transforming agricultural practices in these communities.
During this month's Farmers Empowerment Project meeting, we shared valuable information and guidance on sesame seed plantation. Moreover, we informed the farmers about an upcoming Exposure Visit and Networking Meet scheduled for next month at Jarod Village in Vadodara District. This visit will offer them the opportunity to witness the success stories of farmers in Jarod and learn from the successful interventions implemented by the FarmBridge Team in that village.
Project Nayee Disha: Examination & Certification Programme
JBF in collaboration with the Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (CED), a Government of Gujarat organisation, has been running two Skill Upgradation Centres (SUC) at Bharuch and Vilayat since 2019, providing skill-based training to local community members with the intention of increasing employability in the community.
At the Skill Upgradation Centres in Vilayat and Bharuch under the Jubilant Bhartia Foundation, a diverse range of skill training courses is offered. These courses cover various skill sets such as Sewing Machine Operator (SMO), Beautician, Computer Operator and Programming Assistant (COPA), Electrician, Mehendi, and Basic Computer-Tally. The careful design of these courses aims to facilitate sustainable livelihood generation for individuals within the community.
During this month, examinations were conducted for students enrolled in Electrician & COPA courses offered at our SUC Bharuch center. These assessments aimed to evaluate the students' comprehension, proficiency, and practical application of the skills taught throughout the duration of their respective courses. The examinations served as a comprehensive means to assess their learning outcomes and measure their readiness for future employment or entrepreneurial endeavors. Furthermore, a Certification Programme was held at the SUC Vilayat center for students who had successfully completed Beautician, Mehendi, and Basic Computer-Tally courses.

Soochnapreneur: Digital Community Project
The Soochnapreneur Project, a joint initiative of the JBF and the Digital Empowerment Foundation, aims to connect rural residents with public and private information services, social security schemes, and government schemes announced by the state and central governments in a need-based, contextual, and affordable manner, as well as to increase their access to basic cyber services and digital literacy. Additionally, it emphasises the livelihood, skill-building, and employability of rural youth and women.
Under this program, ten women from Vagra Taluka, Bharuch, have been enrolled as Soochnapreneurs. They have undergone training and received digital resources such as laptops and printers to establish their own centres and offer a wide range of services to the community.
The Soochnapreneurs' Community Service Centres, skilfully run by dedicated Soochnapreneurs, efficiently meet the needs of the local community. These centres provide essential services and information, facilitating substantial income for the Soochnapreneurs. The Soochnapreneur Project exemplifies the transformative potential of grassroots initiatives, empowering individuals and strengthening the fabric of rural society.
Rural Development
Under its Rural Development initiatives, the Jubilant Bhartia Foundation, in collaboration with Grasim Industries CSR, has developed the Sarnar Panchayat Building. The inauguration of this facility was presided over by Mr. Rakesh Sharma, HR Head of Jubilant Infrastructure Limited, alongside Mr. Alkesh Rana, Public Relations Officer, and Mr. Saurav Chakraborty, Deputy Manager CSR.
This newly constructed Panchayat building will serve as a robust infrastructure platform to facilitate various village operations, addressing the social, economic, and political needs of the local communities. Additionally, the Health Mobile Dispensary Services provided by the Jubilant Bhartia Foundation at Sarnar Village will now be conducted within the OPD room constructed inside the panchayat, thereby ensuring enhanced access to healthcare services for residents. Through initiatives like this, the Jubilant Bhartia Foundation is actively contributing to the transformation of rural villages into modern, sustainable communities
Stakeholders Perception Study
The JBF conducts an annual stakeholder perception study to assess how stakeholders perceive the work of the Jubilant Group of Companies, including Jubilant Ingrevia Limited, Jubilant Infrastructure Limited, Jubilant Generics Limited, Jubilant Pharmova Limited, and Jubilant Biosys, in their area. Through surveys and interviews, the study aims to comprehensively evaluate various aspects of stakeholder engagement and awareness regarding the operations of the Jubilant Group of Companies. This includes assessing the effectiveness of communication efforts undertaken by the company to inform stakeholders about its activities and initiatives. Additionally, the study seeks to gauge stakeholders' perceptions regarding the company's preparedness to manage emergency operations in the area, including the conduct of mock drills for emergency preparedness. It also aims to determine whether stakeholders have had meaningful discussions with company representatives to address any concerns or issues related to its operations.
The findings of the study are utilized to identify areas of improvement and strength, inform strategic planning and decision-making processes, and develop initiatives that address stakeholder concerns. Stakeholders involved in the study comprise individuals or groups impacted directly or indirectly by organizational operations, as well as those who can influence organizational operations. This month, the stakeholder perception study was conducted in Bharuch, reaching out to 80 individuals from surrounding villages in Vagra Taluka.
Community Interface Meet 2023-2024
The Jubilant Bhartia Foundation in Bharuch hosted its annual Community Interface Meet for the year 2023-2024 today at the premises of Jubilant Infrastructure Limited SEZ Bharuch. Attended by 99 stakeholders from Bharuch and Vagra Talukas, including Sarpanchs, Opinion Leaders, Health & Education Officers, Anganwadi Workers, School Principals and Teachers, Senior Citizens, Farmers, Project Beneficiaries, and Community Members, the event served as a dynamic forum. It encouraged engagement, idea-sharing, and sought input for potential new projects or initiatives in health, education, livelihood, and rural development. Additionally, it fostered discussions and suggestions aimed at enhancing existing projects as needed.
During the meet, all stakeholders were felicitated, and a presentation highlighting the CSR projects of JBF was delivered. Notable among these initiatives were various health projects such as the Jubilant Medical Centre, Mobile Dispensary Services, and efforts focused on addressing issues like TB, malnutrition, and overall community well-being.
Dr. Praveen Kumar Singh, Taluka Health Officer for Vagra, commended JBF's efforts in the health sector, emphasizing the importance of sustained initiatives to promote nutritional health and well-being within the community.
The event also spotlighted educational projects like Muskaan Vigyanshala: Micro Science Labs and initiatives aimed at enhancing career awareness and digital literacy. Principals and teachers from local schools expressed their appreciation for these efforts, highlighting the positive impact on students' education and skill development.
Furthermore, the Farmers Empowerment Project received praise from farmers across different villages, who shared success stories and expressed gratitude for the support provided by JBF.
Overall, the Community Interface Meet was hailed as a success, with stakeholders expressing overwhelming appreciation for JBF's CSR initiatives.
The event concluded with a sense of optimism and renewed dedication to continue making a meaningful difference in the lives of those served by JBF.

HAQDARSHAK: Empowering Social Security
Jan Suvidha Kendra in Gajraula is run by Haqdarshak Empowerment Solutions Pvt. Ltd in association with Jubilant Bhartia Foundation (JBF). The objective of the project is to enhance and strengthen the social security by creating regular interventions in villages to raise awareness about the current Government Schemes and social security provisions. Haqdarshak agents who are trained regularly organise awareness camps and facilitate applications of the eligible candidates and members to the Government. Last month the camps were organised in Amroha villages of Bhagwanpur, Rahimpur, Yakoobpur, Shahpur, Nouner, Moharkapatti, Sihali Jageer, Rahmapur Mafi, Baseli, Kasurva, Naipura, Simthala Khanaura, Sihali Jageer, Chhapna, Matipura, Sultanther, Karmalipur.
HP Continued Learning Access Program (CLAP)
HP CLAP Project works to enhance, promote and strengthen digital literacy in rural areas of Amroha. The CLAP vehicle constituting 120 chrome books and laptops move around the villages as per the planned roster in consultation with the District Education Department. The trainer present gives the computer education to the school students. The syllabuses for class VIth - VIIIth students covers the basics of computer and its devices, using keyboard, typing, file management, MS tools, shortcut keys and extensions, computer settings and more.
The class IXth - XIIth students are provided a certified course in addition to the basic syllabus training.
The month saw successful completion of syllabus with 457 students.
Muskaan Fellowship 2023-24
Project Muskaan is a youth development initiative of JBF for the overall development of youths that focuses on sensitising and enhancing the capacity of youth on community issues and providing them an intense experiential learning journey with experts and mentors.
The program is intended to cater to two major development goals: all-round development of youth and quality education in schools. The program will emphasise on facilitating the exchange of ideas and thematic discussions, building knowledge in various fields. This program will establish meaningful relationships with these future influencers through a series of skill modules, thematic workshops, fieldwork, exchange of ideas and being a part of the youth cohort network.
Muskaan Fellowship 2023-24 cohort constitutes 35 fellows at Gajraula. The first training was a three-day engagement by JBF co-ordinators, Jaya Eti Minz and Azmat Fatima. The Learning Retreat 1 had workshop engagements to impart leadership skills to the primary and upper primary Government school students in Gajraula, UP. Muskaan fellows further conducted play based activities to enhance confidence and develop leadership skills at Composite school, Gajraula. The play activities are designed to capture interest of the students and enhance their confidence, participation, and socio-emotional development.
This also ensures their full attendance in the school premises.
Muskaan Kitaabghar Inauguration
‘Muskaan Kitaabghar’ project focuses on establishing libraries in the government school premises. The kitaabghar is a set of curatively researched and designed set of books on the 4 levels of readability. The content is designed to capture the creativity, imagination and curiosity of the children.
Total 250 libraries have been established in the Government schools of block Gangeshwari, Hasanpur, Gajraula of district Amroham, Uttar Pradesh.
The inauguration was done by the Block Education Officer (BEO) of Gangeshwari block of Amroha in the humble presence of Mr. Vinay Shukla - Director, Accounts, Jubilant Ingrevia Limited, Gajraula.
Handpump Installation
To ensure, enhance, and increase the accessibility of drinkable water, JBF installed hand pumps in the villages of Amroha, around Gajraula. The installation of 50 hand pumps in the different villages has been done so far.
Jubilant Bhartia Foundation Medical Centre and Health Interventions
Jubilant Bhartia Foundation Medical Centre (JBFMC) Gajraula caters to the primary healthcare needs of the communities in Gajraula at minimal cost of 10 Rupees per patient. The JBFMC also provides referral services to specialised OPDs such as oncology OPD, orthopaedic OPD by partnering with Ujala Cygnus and Jagannath Charitable Trust.
It also operates a mobile dispensary unit which covers even the remote areas of Amroha with its primary healthcare services and subsidised medicines.
JBFMC Gajraula also runs a primary healthcare clinic at Basaili in collaboration with ‘Sewa at Home’. Through the Project Vitor, a ground task force of village level trained entrepreneurs is established to provide diagnostic services such as measuring sugar levels, blood pressure etc. This task force then extends its services at minimal prices in their own village areas and ensure better accessibility of informed healthcare services at doorstep.
The JBFMC has also inaugurated its new eye care centre in its premises which is functional since December in its full capacity.
Last month JBFMC OPD has catered to 931 patients, Mobile Dispensary Unit to 1344 patients, Special Cardio OPD to 46, Special Ortho OPD to 34 patients, Dental OPD 70, Eye Care Center to 13, Vitor Village Level Entrepreneurs to 134 patients.
KISAAN GHOSHTI: A 200 farmers meet to discuss the sustainability project 2024
A 200 farmers’ block level meet was organised in Gajraula Uttar Pradesh to discuss and sensitize the farmers’ beneficiaries about the upcoming sustainability efforts from Jubilant Bhartia Foundation.
The event was proved to be a multi stakeholder platform where JBF drew the organisational participation of agricultural experts Dr Amit Singh & Dr. Prachi Patel (Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Gajraula), Mr. Ved Prakash (B-Able), Mr. Piyush and Gurinder (Cultivate), Mr. Kaushik & B. P Singh (Gram Unnati) and was moderated by Vikash Kumar (Manager, JBF). The farmers were given a demo about the technological inventions of Cultivate, a sensor which can give a real time message and broadcast the details of the soil moisture on the registered mobile phone of the farmer. This technology directly impacts the water consumption, electricity consumption, and methane production from the fields. It reduces the electricity input cost for a farmer save on electricity bills.
Jubilant Bhartia Foundation, in order to pursue sustainable efforts for farmers’ beneficiaries, is planning to initiate a project with eligible farmers in Gajraula, Uttar Pradesh.
Nutrition Kit Distribution
Jubilant Bhartia Foundation conducted Nutrition Kit Distribution event in Gajraula, in collaboration with ICDS, and Child Development and Protection Officer (CDPO), to distribute nutrition ration kits to 50 of the children falling under malnutrition category.
The event was graced by the presence of Manoj Sharma (Associate Director- HR), who and interacted with the beneficiaries present at the event to speak on the efforts taken by Jubilant Bhartia Foundation through CSR initiatives.

In line of the fellowship engagement, Jubilant Bhartia Foundation organised a learning retreat workshop day for the youth. The concepts of team building, importance of mindfulness, team coordination, and breaking gender based stereotypes were conveyed and discussed with the fellows through workshop based activities. All the participants enjoyed the learning process.
HAQDARSHAK: A project focussed on empowering social security
Jan Suvidha Kendra in Gajraula is run by Haqdarshak Empowerment Solutions Pvt. Ltd in association with Jubilant Bhartia Foundation (JBF). The objective of the project is to enhance and strengthen the social security by creating regular interventions in villages to raise awareness, alertness, and increase accessibility of the current government schemes and social security provisions. Haqdarshak & JBF regularly intervenes through organizing camps and facilitating applications of the eligible candidates and members to government. The month of February for our teams was marked by 4-day Ayushman Card Camp in Sihali Nagar Panchayat, Amroha, Uttar Pradesh, in collaboration with village Pradhan, and panchayat assistant, 1 day Ayushman Card camp in Sihali Jageer village through assistance of Community Health Officer (CHO), 1-day correction camp in Sihali Jageer to address the errors in documents, 1-day multi scheme camp in village of Pakhroula Hashampur, 2-day multiple scheme camp in Shahpur Village, Amroha, 2-day multiple scheme camp in Baseli village, Amroha, participation in Bharat Sankalp Yatra in Gajraula, Amroha, and providing schemes information to the participants, 1-day multiple schemes camp in Gangwar village, Amroha, scheme awareness at the meeting with Self Help Groups, Gajraula in the block office, impact assessment of the project with CRISIL.

Jubilant Bhartia Foundation and HP Clap in Nira
JBF and HP Clap Program was launched in Nira, a remote location in Maharashtra with the aim to provide students with access to basic computer education and the experience of using Chromebooks for the first time.
The program was great excitement among the students and the community. The kick-off event saw a thunderous applause, aptly named ‘JBF HP Clap’ symbolising the excitement and anticipation surrounding this opportunity.
For many students in Nira, this program serves as their first exposure to computers and technology. The ability to learn basic computer skills and interact with Chromebooks has sparked a genuine interest in learning and exploring the digital world.
Jubilant Bhartia Foundation celebrates 26th Republic Day at New English School, Padegaon
The JBF celebrated Republic Day of India with great enthusiasm at a vibrant celebration in the New English School in Padegaon. The event, held on January 26th saw the participation of students, teachers, staff, and members of the local community.
The ceremony commenced with the hoisting of the national flag, followed by the singing of the national anthem. A special address was delivered by a representative of JBF, highlighting the significance of Republic Day and the values enshrined in the Indian Constitution.
Nutrition Awareness Programme
Jubilant Bhartia Foundation organized a comprehensive nutrition awareness program involving 10 Schools across Pune & Satara, Maharashtra. The program aimed to educate students, teachers, and communities about the importance of healthy eating habits and balanced diet.
The program utilised diverse activities to engage students, promote healthy eating habits, and encourage understanding of good nutrition.

JBF organises Health Checkup Camp at Z. P. Primary School, Padegaon.
The Jubilant Bhartia Foundation, organized a school health checkup camp at the Z. P. Primary School in Padegaon, Satara on date 15th February’ 2024. This initiative aimed to provide comprehensive health assessment and raise awareness about the importance of preventive healthcare among students.
This camp provided vital health services to underprivileged children who may not have access to regular medical care. Additionally, the awareness sessions empowered students to make informed choices about their health and well-being.
Grandparents’ Storytelling Program at Babalal Sahebrao (Deshmukh) Vidyalaya, Nimbut

Muskaan Vigyanshaala in Govt. Schools
Jubilant Bhartia Foundation (JBF) in partnership with Augustya Foundation started science labs in four government schools of Chittorgarh. The basic kits were provided to the students to get basic understanding of science and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics).
The kit contains 54 types of equipments related to Physics, Chemistry & Biology.
Muskaan Vigyanshala will provide students with a perfect learning environment for conducting experiments, making observations and conducting science activities.
Khushiyon Ki Pathashaala
Khushiyon Ki Pathashaala initiative is a two-days teacher training programme organised at Chittorgarh. The main agenda of this workshop is to train the teachers to make schools more inclusive and create a value based society that is children friendly and at the same time giving equal focus towards the personality development.
Total 48 teachers participated in the training. The Chief Guest Mr. Pramod Dasora – ADPC SMSA (Assistant District Programme Co-ordinator, Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan, Chittorgarh) graced the occasion with his presence.
