Jubilant Bhartia Foundation Medical Centre & Mobile Dispensary Services
The community healthcare initiative run by the Jubilant Bhartia Foundation (JBF) provides public healthcare services in affordable, accessible, and equitable manner in 16 villages around the plant premise. Since its inception, our services have helped strengthen nearby basic healthcare facilities and empower the local populations to maintain their health. All underprivileged local residents who visit the Medical Centre and Mobile Dispensary get proper medical evaluation, medicines, and day-care services, as well as guidance and education on how to integrate healthier habits into their everyday lives. The JBF Mobile Dispensary Services diagnosed and delivered medicine to a total of 1380 patients in the month of March 2024.
Free Multispecialty Health Camp
JBF Bharuch successfully hosted a free multi-specialty health camp in Vilayat village for the benefit of local communities. It was a joint effort by JBF and Orchid Multispecialty Hospital. Chief Guest Ms. Indira Patel inaugurated the camp. The experienced team of Physicians, Dermatologists, Surgeons and Orthopedists did the check-up and offered free consultations. A total of 118 local residents who came with various ailments received free medicines along with the diagnosis from the experts.
End TB Project: Awareness Session & Nutritional Kits Distribution
In collaboration with the District Tuberculosis Division Bharuch, the JBF Bharuch team is dedicated to supporting over 60 active TB patients across Primary Healthcare Centers (PHCs) in Derol, Navetha, and Tankariya for a duration of six months. The primary objective is to improve the nutrition and treatment outcomes for TB patients from marginalized communities.
This month, the JBF Bharuch team successfully conducted the 3rd Nutrition Kits Distribution Drive for all active TB patients. The initiative included an extensive awareness campaign emphasizing the importance of proper nutrition during TB treatment and the benefits of maintaining a healthy diet.
Swasth Prahari: Awareness & Nutritional Kits Distribution to Pregnant Mothers
Swasth Prahari is a dedicated program aimed at enhancing the health and well-being of pregnant women, lactating mothers, children, and adolescent girls in the community.
Through this initiative, we provided essential nutritional kits to over 30 pregnant mothers in villages - Dayadara, Juned & Bhersam. The kits contain protein powder, folic iron, and calcium tablets, which are essential for the healthy development of the fetus and the well-being of mothers. Beyond kit distribution, we conducted insightful awareness campaigns featuring brief presentations and dynamic Q&A sessions, enlightening mothers on the paramount importance of nutrition during pregnancy and lactation. Together, we're nurturing healthier futures.
School Health Camps
In an effort to prioritize the health and well-being of rural students, the Jubilant Bhartia Foundation Bharuch Health Team organized school health camp for Vilayat Primary Schools students. This initiative provided general health checkup, physical examination vital health check-ups and hygiene awareness to 131 students in grades 3 to 8, ensuring comprehensive health assessments and guidance.

Project WeMentorship
On March 16, 2024, the JBF Bharuch CSR Team conducted the WeMentorship Programme for ITI Students Training at ITI Ankot, Vagra Taluka. Mr. Alkesh Rana, Public Relations Officer for Jubilant Infrastructure Limited, led an interactive session on Resume Building and Interview Techniques with the students.
Additionally, Mr.Lalan Kumar, Associate Director – Production at Fine Chemical-I, Jubilant Ingrevia Limited, discussed the scope of work in industries. He covered topics such as working with Reactors, Filtration, Powder Processing, Pumps, and Plant SOPs, and addressed technical queries while shedding light on industry-level interviews.
Dr.Shailesh Nakum, Deputy Manager CSR, addressed safety protocols at the plant and the medical fitness required to work in such environments.
The event provided valuable knowledge and insights to the ITI students. A total of 104 ITI Trainees (15 Girls, 89 Boys) under Attendant Operator Chemical Plant (AOCP) and Computer Operator And Programming Assistant (COPA) Trade benefited from this comprehensive training session.
Basic Fire Safety, Disaster Preparedness, and First Aid Training for Schools
On the occasion of the 53rd National Safety Week, the CSR team of Jubilant Bhartia Foundation, in collaboration with Jubilant Infrastructure Ltd. Fire Safety Team, organized Basic Fire Safety, Disaster Preparedness, and First Aid Training for students across five schools. The initiative aimed to equip students with vital knowledge and skills in safeguarding themselves and others.
The first aid training was conducted by Dr. Shailesh Nakum and Nurse Ms. Nikita Ahir, while Safety Officers Mr. Parth Kasundra and Mr. Samir Patel conducted the basic fire safety and disaster preparedness training. A total of 847 students and 43 teachers were enriched by these educational sessions.
The training covered a wide range of topics, including practical fire safety techniques, proper usage of different types of fire extinguishers, protocols during earthquakes and floods, CPR procedures, and emergency helpline numbers. Students and teachers actively engaged in hands-on activities, such as fire extinguisher drills and CPR simulations on a mannequin.
The initiative received appreciation from school authorities, acknowledging the invaluable contribution of Jubilant CSR and Fire Safety teams in enhancing safety awareness among students. Beyond imparting life-saving skills, the training fostered a memorable learning experience for all participants.
The Jubilant Bhartia Foundation remains committed to promoting safety and well-being in communities through such impactful initiatives.
Muskaan Vigyanshaala: Micro Science Lab
The Muskaan Vigyanshaala: Micro Science Lab project is designed to nurture a passion for science among students from rural backgrounds. Under this initiative, the Jubilant Bhartia Foundation (JBF) has established Muskaan Vigyanshaala: Micro Science Labs in 19 primary schools located across the villages of Vagra and Bharuch taluka. These villages include Vorasamni, Vagra, Vilayat, Ankot, Rahad, Saladara, Arethi, Motiya, Kolavana, Vastikhandali, Derol, Tralsa, Manubar, Vahalu, Karmad, and Mahudhla. The project has had a profound impact, benefiting a total of 3621 students, comprising 1878 girls and 1743 boys, by providing them with access to hands-on scientific learning experiences.
The implementation of Science Labs has significantly enhanced the overall learning experience for students, making science education into an enjoyable and engaging journey. Science teachers at these schools regularly conduct science classes with students, resulting in heightened engagement characterized by increased curiosity, creativity, and a deeper understanding of scientific concepts.
HP World on Wheels Program
The HP World on Wheels Program, a collaborative effort between the JBF and HP India Foundation, is dedicated to advancing digital literacy and education in rural India.
The HP World on Wheels initiative presents a digital learning lab housed within a bus, featuring 20 computer systems, 1 printer, 1 Smart TV with a home theatre, all equipped with Internet connectivity and powered by solar energy. Its principal aim is to promote digital literacy, facilitate E-education, provide Entrepreneurship training, and deliver various citizen services in rural areas.
This month, the JBF Bharuch team successfully conducted Basic Computer Sessions at Argama Primary School, benefiting a total of 31 students (Std. 6 to 8). These classes were designed to equip students with practical skills and knowledge essential for their academic and future endeavors.
Muskaan Fellowship: Youth Development Programme
The Muskaan Fellowship is a year-long mentorship and training program tailored for rural adolescents, aiming to nurture leadership traits, guide participants towards a goal-oriented future, and foster active citizenship. This project empowers these young individuals to evolve into Master Trainers, acting as catalysts for positive change in our society. Through their voluntary efforts, these Master Trainers implement comprehensive Value Education and 21st-century life skills programs in Government Primary Schools. Addressing critical themes like Gender Empowerment, Leadership, and Goal-Oriented Mentoring, they empower students to pursue their dreams.
For the fiscal year 2023-2024, a diverse group of young individuals from various communities has been successfully mobilized for the fellowship program. Following the orientation program, Learning Retreat 1 for the Muskaan Fellowship 2023-24 batch, the Muskaan Fellows have commenced conducting 'Khushiyon Ki Pathshala' – Value Education sessions in various schools. The 'Khushiyon Ki Pathshala' sessions spark enthusiasm and notably enhance students' engagement, deepening their understanding of core values. These sessions instill values like equality, courage, honesty, hope, commitment, kindness, trust, respect, humility, love, gratitude, integrity, focus, safety, and caring, enriching students' holistic personal development.
HP ALFA (Accessible Learning for All): Secondary and Higher Secondary Schools Digitalisation Project
The JBF, in partnership with HP India and the NIIT Foundation, has launched the HP Alfa (Accessible Learning for All) project. This initiative aims to bridge the digital divide by providing digital classrooms to government and government-aided secondary and higher secondary schools in remote areas with limited access to educational resources. Under this project, 28 schools have been equipped with digital screens, content devices, computers, printers, and other digital tools, transforming them into dynamic Smart Classrooms.
This project brings technology to the forefront of learning, offering an enriched educational environment that transcends traditional boundaries, benefiting more than 7,899 students. The fusion of technology and education equips students with new-age tools, preparing them for success in an increasingly digital world. The HP ALFA Project exemplifies the transformative impact of collaborative efforts, heralding a brighter future for education in rural Bharuch.
Muskaan Kitaab Ghar
The Muskaan Kitaab Ghar initiative by the Jubilant Bhartia Foundation is dedicated to nurturing reading skills, fostering learning through literature, and molding young minds. This initiative has facilitated the establishment of micro classroom libraries in 131 government primary schools across the Bharuch district, benefiting 22,842 students. Each Muskaan Kitaab Ghar classroom library kit comprises a collection of 90 storybooks featuring child-friendly literature available in both English and local dialects. Additionally, the schools are provided with a metal open bookshelf to complement these resources.
This initiative has ignited a passion for reading among children. Teachers actively engage in reading and storytelling sessions using the Muskaan Kitaab Ghar libraries. Both teachers and students perceive this project as instrumental in improving learning outcomes, academic performance, and skill development among students.

Farmers Empowerment Project
The Farmers Empowerment Project, a collaboration between the JBF Bharuch and FarmBridge Foundation, is dedicated to enhancing income generation in agriculture through value addition. This project's primary objectives include educating rural farmers in diverse farming techniques, offering livelihood support, and fostering innovative agricultural practices to empower farmers.
The program is presently in operation across 10 villages, namely Vilayat, Derol, Bhersam, Dayadara, Vahalu, Argama, Saladara, Rahad, Vahiyal, and Suthrel.
During this month's Farmers Empowerment Project meetings, we actively engaged with farmers to gather feedback on the effectiveness of Sesame Seeds Farming. Additionally, we conducted an insightful educational session on creating Farmers Producers Organisation [FPO] in the upcoming meetings, providing farmers with information on new storage technology such as Hermetic Bags, and introducing them to the benefits of mycorrhiza.
This collaborative effort aims not only to enhance agricultural productivity but also to empower farmers with knowledge and resources that can lead to sustainable growth and prosperity in rural communities. Through ongoing support and innovative approaches, we strive to create a positive impact on the lives of farmers and contribute to the development of the agricultural sector.
Farmers Empowerment Project: Exposure Visit & Networking Meet for Bharuch & Savli Farmers at Jarod Village in Vadodara district
FarmBridge Foundation, in collaboration with Alembic CSR Foundation, has been actively running the Farmers Empowerment Project in Jarod Village, Vadodara district, actively transforming agriculture for the past two years.
On 7th March 2024, Bharuch and Savli Farmers visited Jarod Village for an Exposure Visit & Networking Meet.
Jarod Farmers generously shared their success stories with the farmers from Bharuch and Savli, highlighting their achievements in various areas such as FPOs, Hydrogel Technology, Waste Decomposer, Cowdung Mycorrhiza, increased crop yields, branding, packaging, and marketing strategies.
Additionally, topics such as Organic Farming, the Millets Market, and Farmers Vendor Registrations with prominent retailers such as Reliance and Dmart were explored, emphasizing modern approaches to agricultural trade.
Furthermore, farmers engaged in field visits to Onion Farms, White Corn farms, and Green Fennel Seeds Farms, observing the successful practices of fellow farmers.
Bharuch farmers procured fennel seeds, white corn, moong, wheat, and rice from Jarod farmers and exchanged contact details for potential future collaborations, especially concerning the procurement of onions after harvesting.
A total of 135 male farmers and 54 female farmers from Bharuch, Savli, and Jarod actively participated in this enriching program, underscoring the significance of knowledge sharing and community engagement in advancing agricultural sustainability and prosperity.
Project Nayee Disha: Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP)
JBF in partnership with the Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (CED) and Gujarat Women Economic Development Corporation Ltd., initiated the Assistant Beauty Wellness Consultant course at our Skill Upgradation Center (SUC) in Bharuch on January 17, 2024
This one-month, 140-hour course, with 25 enrolled candidates, aims to train individuals in essential beauty and wellness skills such as skincare, makeup application, and customer service. Additionally, an Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) was conducted alongside, covering topics from business selection to financial management and networking.
Through this initiative, we aim to empower individuals, particularly women, for employment opportunities in the beauty and wellness industry, fostering economic growth and gender inclusivity in the region.
Project Nayee Disha: Certification Programme
JBF, in collaboration with the Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (CED), a Government of Gujarat organization, has been running two Skill Upgradation Centres (SUC) at Bharuch and Vilayat since 2019, providing skill-based training to local community members with the intention of increasing employability in the community.
At the Skill Upgradation Centres in Vilayat and Bharuch under the Jubilant Bhartia Foundation, a diverse range of skill training courses is offered. These courses cover various skill sets such as Sewing Machine Operator (SMO), Beautician, Computer Operator and Programming Assistant (COPA), Electrician, Mehendi, and Basic Computer-Tally. The careful design of these courses aims to facilitate sustainable livelihood generation for individuals within the community.
During this month, a Certification Programme was conducted at our SUC Bharuch center for students who successfully passed the Electrician & COPA exams. These students demonstrated commendable dedication and skill in completing their respective courses, contributing to their personal and professional growth.
Soochnapreneur: Digital Community Project
The Soochnapreneur Project, a joint initiative of the JBF and the Digital Empowerment Foundation, aims to connect rural residents with public and private information services, social security schemes, and government schemes announced by the state and central governments in a need-based, contextual, and affordable manner, as well as to increase their access to basic cyber services and digital literacy. Additionally, it emphasizes the livelihood, skill-building, and employability of rural youth and women.
Under this program, ten women from Vagra Taluka, Bharuch, have been enrolled as Soochnapreneurs. They have undergone training and received digital resources such as laptops and printers to establish their own centres and offer a wide range of services to the community.
The Soochnapreneurs' Community Service Centres, skilfully run by dedicated Soochnapreneurs, efficiently meet the needs of the local community. These centres provide essential services and information, facilitating substantial income for the Soochnapreneurs. The Soochnapreneur Project exemplifies the transformative potential of grassroots initiatives, empowering individuals and strengthening the fabric of rural society.

‘DIDI KI DUKAAN’: Jubilant Bhartia Foundation’s New Project to strengthen micro entrepreneurship among women
JBF Gajraula has started a project titled ‘Didi Ki Dukaan’ in partnership with the organisation B-Able.
The objective of the project is to intervene through economic and social assistance for women in rural areas to start their own shops and become micro entrepreneurs.
A two-day workshop training with objective to orient potential women beneficiaries about the project, strengthen their dreams and create a space for them to share their vision on their shops through interactive activities, was organised in collaboration with B-Able, where Jaya Eti Minz - Assistant Manager, JBF presented the JBF’s vision of the project to the beneficiaries. A total of 24 women participants participated in the workshop.
New Launch of the ‘Garh Ganga: Animal Fodder’ for the benefit of Farmers, and Cattle Rearers by Gajraula Grameen Samriddhi Limited (GGSL)
JBF in partnership with GGSL launched one of the flagship product ‘Garh Ganga: Animal Fodder’ at Vocational Training Center, Gajraula. GGSL is an organisation registered to produce, distribute, and market the farmers’ friendly products for their cattle.
JBF supports GGSL time to time as per need and provide assistance to the GGSL.

Jubilant Bhartia Foundation Medical Centre and Health Interventions
Jubilant Bhartia Foundation Medical Centre (JBFMC), in Gajraula caters to primary healthcare needs of the communities in Gajraula at minimal cost of Rupees 10 per patient. The primary healthcare centre in Gajraula has extensive diagnostic services in minimal rates. The JBFMC also provide referral services to specialised OPDs such as oncology OPD, orthopaedic OPD by collaborating with Ujala Cygnus and Jagannath Charitable Trust.
It also operates a mobile dispensary unit, which outreaches to remotest of areas in Amroha with its primary healthcare services and subsidized medicines.
JBFMC Gajraula also runs a primary healthcare clinic at Basaili in collaboration with ‘Sewa at Home’. The Project Vitor: Village Health Profiling Project created a ground task force of village level entrepreneurs who are trained in small diagnostic services such as measuring sugar levels in blood, measuring blood pressure etc. This task force then extends its services at minimal prices in their own village areas and ensure better accessibility of informed healthcare services at doorsteps.
The JBFMC has also inaugurated its new eye care centre in its premises, which is functional since December in its full capacity.
In the 4th quarter of year 2023-24, JBFMC OPD has catered to 2208 patients, Mobile Dispensary Unit to 2534 patients, Special Cardio OPD to 69 patients, Special Ortho OPD to 88 patients, Dental OPD 154 patients, Eye Care Center to 115 patients, Vitor Village Level Entrepreneurs to 270 patients.
Free Eye Check-up Camp by Jubilant Bhartia Foundation, Gajraula
JBF organised a free eye check-up camp in the village Bavanpura. The doctors explained the precautions to be taken during the upcoming harvesting season.
Free eye check-up service was extended to the 111 beneficiaries.
Nutrition Awareness Program: Felicitation of Interns
JBF caters to spreading the awareness on nutrition, malnutrition, good food habits among children. This led to a project titled ‘Nutrition Awareness Program’ to ensure local participation and provide a platform to the youth. Under this project, two interns were hired who were responsible to implement the project on ground.
This effort enabled JBF engaging more than 3000 students in 25 villages through 40 plus sessions. There was an increase of 28.78% with total 3040 beneficiaries including students and anganwadi members.
To felicitate the interns and appreciate their hard work, JBF conducted a felicitation event in Gajraula where, Dr. Sujinder Phogat (Medical Officer, JBF), Jaya Eti Minz (Assistant Manager, JBF) and Azmat Fatima (CSR MT, JBF), felicitated the interns with gifts, experience letters and recognition lunch at Bikanerwala.

Women’s Day Celebration
The Women’s Day celebration was held at the Jubilant Ingrevia Nira Plant in Pune, Maharashtra, India, on 8th March 2023. The event aimed to celebrate the achievements of women employees and promote gender equality within the company. All employees of Jubilant Ingrevia were invited to participate.
Nutrition Awareness Competition
The Jubilant Bhartia Foundation (JBF) successfully organised a Nutrition Awareness Competition for school students. The competition aimed to educate young minds about the importance of healthy eating habits and provide them with valuable information about nutrition.

Story-Telling Session
The session on storytelling was organised at Senior Secondary School in Narela where the Grandparents narrated stories such as ‘The Greedy Milk Man’, ‘The Wise Priest’, ‘Akbar & Birbal’, ‘The Ant and the Clever Mouse’ and ‘The Tortoise and the Hare’.
Through this enriching session, the cultural and positive values were instilled in 73 students who were present.
Khushiyon Ki Paathshaala – Learning Retreat II
As part of the Youth Development Program, the IInd Learning Retreat on 'Khushiyon Ki Paathshaala' was organised where 10 Mukaan fellows participated in the training session. It included lessons on life values such as gratitude, integrity, humility, commitment and safety along with other activities. The primary objective of this workshop was to equip Muskaan fellows with value-based learning in a child-friendly environment at the same time giving equal attention to their personality development.
Renovation Of Government Schools
Education plays a vital role in the all-round development of individuals and society. JBF renovated three schools - Primary School in Baggakheda, Upper Primary School in Banakiya Kala and Senior Secondary School in Banakiya Kala.
Crafts Day
Crafts Day was celebrated by the Jubilant Bhartia Foundation at Upper Primary School, Mata Ji ka Kheda to encourage students to reduce the usage of plastic bags. The activity aimed to educate 32 students from class VI to VIII on how to make paper bags from waste papers and newspapers at home. This initiative, conducted by the Muskaan fellows, will help the students contribute to a cleaner, greener environment. At the end of the activity, a session on the three R’s (Reuse, Reduce, and Recycle) was taken to inspire students to take action towards a sustainable future. The success of this event highlights the potential of the youth to drive positive change in their communities.

Farmers Meeting
A farmers gathering was organised at the Chamunda Mata Temple in Narela, bringing 50 farmers together from Narela, Singhpur, Bhanwarkiya, Sisodiyon Savta, Jhopadiya and Chattarpura in collaboration with the FarmBridge team. The primary purpose of this meeting was to give demos of innovative agricultural tools such as hydro gel and waste decomposer. FarmBridge team shared insights into modern farming techniques, supported by illustrative case studies. The interactive session proved highly beneficial, fostering keen interest among the farmers to engage with the FarmBridge team.

Free Dental Health Camp At Singhpur, Kapasan
JBF in collaboration with the Pacific Dental College and research Centre, Udaipur organised a free dental camp at Singhpur, Kapasan. In this camp, Dr. Kanhaiya Lal Dhakad - MDS and five BDS doctors together conducted dental examination on a total of 57 patients and provided facilities like dental filling, tooth extraction, teeth cleaning. Patients with significant dental concerns are referred to the Pacific Dental College and Research Centre, where they were granted a six-month membership card for free dental health treatments.
Free School Level Health Camps
JBF in collaboration with LIC Housing Finance Ltd. CSR has been running a Mobile Medical Unit under the Jubi Care initiative. In which a total of 16000 patients have been benefitted so far in FY 23-24. To ensure the good health of school students, JBF conducted free school level health check-up camps at Upper Primary School, Kankariya and Senior Secondary School Hingoria, Upper Primary School, Ramakheda. A total of 301 students have been benefitted through this camp.
Awareness Session On Digestive Health
An awareness session on digestive health was organized at Government Senior Secondary School, Hingoria. A total of 118 students participated in this session, which focused on the causes of gastrointestinal diseases, the importance of washing hands before eating food, the different types of diarrhoea, their symptoms, the significance of sanitation, and the benefits of rotavirus vaccination.
Awareness Session On Oral Health Day
An awareness session was organized at Banjaro ka Kheda to mark World Oral Health Day, which was attended by 22 villagers. The session focused on oral hygiene, oral cancer, and other oral diseases such as candidiasis and anemic tongue.

Felicitation of Employees For Participating in CSR Activities
JBF left no stone unturned in expressing appreciation for their employees on the Annual Day of Jubilant Agri & Consumer Products Ltd. The Foundation honored those employees who participated in various activities of Jubilant Bhartia Foundation under JUBelief umbrella. The felicitation ceremony was graced by some of the most distinguished names in the company, including Mr. C. N. Reddy, Vice President of JACPL, Mr. Jagat Sharma, Manufacturing Head of JACPL, Mr. Deepak Chakraborty, Unit Head of JACPL, and several other esteemed dignitaries.

Installation of Street Light Pole in Bhanwarkiya
JBF has recently installed two streetlights with poles near the community toilet and water point in Bhanwarkiya village. Street lights not only provide light, but also improve safety. These lights will be particularly beneficial for women farmers and girls who travel at night for water or using the community toilet. By providing light at night, the risk of accidents, crime, and theft will be reduced, making the area safer for everyone.

Jubilant Bhartia Foundation Mobile Dispensary Services
Mobile Health Dispensary is an initiative run by Jubilant Bhartia Foundation (JBF) which provides public healthcare services in affordable, accessible, and equitable manner to around 15 villages around the Savli manufacturing facility.
Since its inception, these services have helped in strengthening the basic healthcare facilities and empower the local public. All underprivileged local residents who come to the mobile dispensary get proper medical evaluation along with medicines. In addition to this, they are also given guidance and education on how to inculcate healthier habits into their everyday lives. Total 1175 patients were diagnosed and provided medication this month.
The Vitor Project
Under this project the village health profiling task force has been set up at the village level. The entrepreneurs are trained to conduct small diagnostic services such as measuring sugar levels, BP amongst others. This task force then further extends its services at minimal prices in their own village and surrounding areas to ensure better accessibility of informed healthcare services at the doorsteps.
Additionally, in collaboration with the District Tuberculosis Division Savli, the JBF Savli team is dedicated to support over 60 active TB patients across Primary Healthcare Centers (PHCs) in Samlaya, Vadiya and Poicha for a duration of six months. The primary objective is to improve the nutrition and treatment outcomes for TB patients from marginalised communities. The initiative included an extensive awareness campaign emphasising the importance of proper nutrition during TB treatment and the benefits of maintaining a healthy diet.
JBF is also trying to fight malnourishment in kids by supporting the Taluka Health officer and the Centre for Malnourishment Treatment Centre by providing 120 Nutrition kits to the freshly treated patients. This gives encourages them to come for follow up and make sure the course is completed We are also conducting drives where adolescent girls’ Haemoglobin is tested and IFA tablets are provided. Regular awareness sessions and activities are also conducted to drive the point across.
Last month, JBF Savli has facilitated a large number of beneficiaries:
- 1175 patients treated through Mobile Dispensary OPD
- 60 patients covered through TB Support
- 41 patients covered through Special Ortho OPD
- 224 patients covered through Dental OPD
- 225 patients benefitted by Vitor Village Level Entrepreneurs
- 120 Malnourished children supported.
HP World on Wheels
The HP World on Wheels Program, a collaborative effort between the JBF and HP India Foundation is dedicated to providing digital literacy and education in rural India.
The HP World on Wheels initiative presents a digital learning lab housed within a bus, with 20 computer systems installed, 1 printer, 1 Smart TV with a home theatre. All devices are equipped with Internet connectivity and powered by solar energy. The programme aims at promoting digital literacy, facilitate E-education, provide Entrepreneurship training and deliver various citizen services in rural areas.
This month, the JBF Savli team successfully conducted Basic Computer Sessions at Vadiya, Rasavadi, Radhanpura and other villages covering a total of 155 students. These classes were designed to equip students with practical skills and knowledge essential for their academic and future endeavours.
Muskaan Fellowship: Youth Development Programme
The Muskaan Fellowship is a year-long mentorship and training program tailored for rural adolescents, aiming to nurture leadership traits, guide participants towards a goal-oriented future and foster active citizenship. This project empowers these young individuals to evolve into Master Trainers, acting as catalysts for bringing the positive change in our society. Through their voluntary efforts, these Master Trainers implement comprehensive value education and 21st-century life skills programs in Government Primary Schools. Addressing critical themes like Gender Empowerment, Leadership, and Goal-Oriented Mentoring, they empower students to pursue their dreams.
For the fiscal year 2023-2024, a diverse group of young individuals from various communities have been successfully mobilised for the fellowship program. After the orientation program, the Muskaan Fellows have commenced 'Khushiyon Ki Pathshala' – value education sessions in various schools. The sessions spark enthusiasm and notably enhance students' engagement, deepening their understanding of core values. These sessions instil values like equality, courage, honesty, hope, commitment, kindness, trust, respect, humility, love, gratitude, integrity, focus, safety, care which is enriching for the students and their holistic personal development. 25 Students are active in their villages and are conducting value sessions in their village schools. This initiative is not only directly effecting their personalities but their efforts are a seed sown that will reap benefits in the coming 10 years when the school students grow up.
Farmers Empowerment Project: National Farmer's Day Celebration
The Farmers Empowerment Project, a collaboration between the JUBILANT BHARTIA FOUNDATION Savli and Farm-Bridge Social Foundation, is dedicated to enhancing income generation in agriculture through value addition. This project's primary objectives include educating rural farmers in diverse farming techniques, offering livelihood support and fostering innovative agricultural practices to empower farmers.
The program is active across 5 villages, namely Juna Samlaya, Karachiya, Pasva, Pratapnagar and Lasundra
During this month's Farmers Empowerment Project meeting, we observed National Farmer's Day with our project beneficiaries - the farmers and their families. We expressed our gratitude by lighting lamps, symbolising our heartfelt appreciation for their invaluable contributions to the nation. This gesture aimed to honour their hard work and recognize their essential role in the country's growth.
Additionally, we conducted an educational session focusing on year-round multi-crop farming. Highlighting the potential of cultivating sesame seeds, we encouraged interested farmers to register for sesame farming, offering seeds free of cost from JBF. The response was overwhelming, with all farmers eagerly registering for sesame, cotton and rice seed cultivation.
Project Nayee Disha: Vocational Trainings at Karachiya
JBF Savli has been providing skill-based training to local community members with the intention of increasing employability in the community. A diverse range of skill training courses is offered like Stitching, Beautician, Toran Making, Soap Making etc. The careful design of these courses aims to facilitate sustainable livelihood generation for individuals within the community.
SHG Meetings And Women’s Day Celebration
The formation of Self-Help Groups has been one of the key efforts of JBF to promote Women Empowerment and bring women together for the goal - financial literacy and independence. Women from different backgrounds are engaged under different activities and facilitated to come out of their homes and break the norm. On women’s day, women voiced their opinions and ideas for the coming year and the steps they are keen to take in terms of setting up businesses. Soap making and Apron making have been one of the best start ups of the year. Beautician is also taking off as a business among these women. We are hopeful that the coming year will show a good independent income of these women.
On the other hand, the business of neem production has seen wide acceptance and they are now ready to expand. This has been possible with the dedication of women entrepreneurs and Mr. Saurabh Saxena. On the occasion of women’s day, Mr. Saurabh Saxena (Senior Manager- Choline & Herbal Category, Marketing – ANU) felicitated these women for their tireless efforts in breaking the barriers and setting up examples for others to follow.
