1. World Environment Day Celebration
World Environment Day is celebrated annually on June 5 and it is the United Nations' principal vehicle for encouraging awareness and action for the protection of the environment. Jubilant Bhartia Foundation has been consistently working with farmers and locals to create awareness for the environment through livelihood generation. Till 2021-22 164995 plants have been planted under its Jubi farm initiative. Also regular meetings with these farmers takes place to create awareness on sustainable farming techniques.
In Gajraula a plantation drive was conducted in the plant premises. Plantation was done by the Chief Guests: B K Tripathi (DM Amroha),Vineet Jaiswal (SP Amroha),Chandrashekhar Shukla (CDO Amroha), Mayashankar (ADM (Judicial) ), Bhagwansharan (ADM (F&R)), Rajeev Kr. Singh(DAO, Amroha), Arun Kumar(SDM, Dhanaura), Devmani Mishra (DFO, Amroha), Vijay Shankar Mishra (SDM, Amroha), and Archana Sharma (Tehsildar, Dhanaura).
A drawing competition was also organised at Roorkee for all the students who are currently enrolled in the Foundation's computer awareness classes. The theme for the competitions was 'Planet Earth our Mother Earth'. The children very beautifully drew their thoughts on paper.
At Savli, Jubilant Bhartia Foundation and EHS Department together organised a tree plantation drive of 200 saplings, attended by 200 locals near. Awareness session regarding environment sustainability was also organised.

PROJECT DETAILS
1. Senior Citizen Felicitation Program
Jubilant Bhartia Foundation (JBF) regularly felicitates senior citizens from the community for the commendable work they do for the development of the society at large. JBF recognizes them for their consistent efforts in the social sphere. This not only motivates other people but also brings a sense of responsibility towards society and people. This year on May 14th Jubilant Bhartia Foundation organised a Senior Citizen Felicitation program at the Company premises. A total of 50 senior citizens were felicitated who contributed towards the betterment and development of Gajraula. These change makers were from multiple fields such as teachers, doctors, retired government officials, entrepreneurs and model farmers. The senior management team also participated in this event.
2. Sakhi Bag Initiative
An initiative of Jubilant Bhartia Foundation and Muncipal Corporation Gajraula has been the stitching of the 10,000 Sakhi Bags (Cloth Bags). Towards this initiative a cloth donation drive has been initiated in the residential colony of the Company and also in the nearby areas. Under the Sakhi bag initiative the team has been working on creating a plastic free environment. Women SHG groups are making these cloths bags from old cloths collected from the nearby area. Under this initiative JBF is working on the 3R model of-Reduce, reuse and Recycle.
3. Jubilant Pratibha Purashkar Scholarship Exam
Jubilant Pratibha Purashkar Scholarship Exam aims to support Government school children of class 9 for four years in their studies. Under this initiative the team works to reduce the dropout rate in schools and also support underprivileged children to continue with their studies. Jubilant Praitibha Purashkar exam took place on 22nd May 2022 for the selection of 20 students from four blocks.
4. Inauguration of MobilEye (Eye Checkup Van)
The Mobil Eye (Eye Checkup van) recently inaugurated by the District Magistrate of Amroha - Mr. B. K. Tripathi, S.P., Amroha - Mr. Vipin Jaiswal and, SDM, Naugawa Sadat - Mr. Ashok Kumar. Jubilant Bhartia Foundation in collaboration with Vision Spring initiated this project. The initiative will provide free eye checkup facility along with the spectacles at nominal rate to the needy ones.
5. Street Light Distribution to the ward members of Naipura
Under the Rural Development initiative of JBF, 70 street lights are to be distributed in the nearby village. 20 street lamps have already been distributed to the ward members of the Naipura ward. The plant head Mr. Himanshu Shukla handed over the street lights to different ward members. During night it was very difficult to navigate in the area because of lack of street lamps and it was also not safe for the people. Considering the situation, street lamps were the need of the hour for creating a safe environment for the people, especially women.
6. Nutritional Kit distributed to 65 Tuberculosis Patients
Under JBF's Tuberculosis project with the health department, 13 employees of Jubilant Ingrevia Limited have adopted 65 patients suffering from the Tuberculosis and a nutrition kit containing jiggery, peanut, chickpea and multi vitamin tablets has been given to these patients for six months. Employees will be supporting these patients for six months so that proper nutrition can be provided for easy and fast recovery of these patients.
7 Distribution of Modular Artificial Limb.
Jubilant Bhartia Foundation in collaboration with the Narayan Sewa Sansthan started the distribution ofmodular artificial limbs to 113 physically handicapped people. 1. The Pashu Sakhi Project
Jubilant Bhartia Foundation in partnership with The Goat Trust started two projects on livestock - Goatry and Poultry. Under this project 500 hundred famers and 100 farmers have been registered. 10 Pashu sakhi's have been trained who are helping these farmers by creating awareness on health. They act as health agent for these Goatry and poultry farmers. Under the Goatry initiative six health camps were conducted in six villages which include 32 artificial insemination, 33 first aid to the goats and 261 deworming exercises.
Also under the poultry project regular monitoring of 60 poultry farmers is being done on a regular basis. This project not only empowers the Poultry and Goatry farmers to have a stable financial source but also has created greater impact in the lives of all the 10 Pashu Sakhis.
2. Jubilant Bhartia Foundation Medical Centre (JBFMC) and Ayushmaan Card Campaign
To provide affordable health care facility, Jubilant Bhartia Foundation started the community health care service which includes Jubilant Bhartia Foundation Medical Centre (JBFMC) and a Mobile health Camp. This helped JBF in empowering the community and hence strengthening the health care facility in the area. For the month of May, 1075 Outgoing patients were registered at JBFMC and 1234 patients were registered through Mobile Dispensary and 134 Ayushmaan card have been made.
3. CLAP Project (Continued Learning Access Project)
In order to address the issues related on online education, HP in collaboration with JBF started the CLAP (Continued Learning Access Project) project. Under this initiative, laptop and Wi-Fi facility is provided to registered students. Currently JBF has 2363 beneficiaries registered. It has covered 35 schools and 112 beneficiaries have completed their 20 hour training on basic and advance computer skills, finance management and vocational courses.

1. Jubicare Medical Centre
In order to provide affordable, accessible and equitable public healthcare, Jubilant Bhartia Foundation started a community healthcare program called Jubicare. Since its inception, JBF's telemedicine service has helped in empowering communities to stay healthy by strengthening basic health care facilities around the SEZ. Through the JBF Medical Centre and by using information and communication technologies for exchange of valid information for diagnosis and treatment, over 841 people availed the healthcare services this month. Apart from this, all the OPD patients were given advice and awareness on inculcating healthy habits into their lives. The Jubicare Medical centre has been operational for 23 days and Telemedicine services has been operational for 24 days this month.
2. Jubifarm Farmer's Meeting
Jubilant Bhartia Foundation's Bharuch team works with over 100 farmers of Bharuch District on an annual Basis. They are provided with saplings, trainings etc. to make a sustainable living out of agriculture. A farmer's meeting was organised by JBF to understand farmer's needs, their issues and business opportunities that the Company can provide. JBF will act as a catalyst between demand created by the entity 'Jubilant Consumer Private Limited' of certain vegetables and the farmers' need for stable and fair orders.
3. Skill Upgradation Centre- New Batches
With the intention to increase employability in the community, several training courses were initiated at the Jubilant Bhartia Foundation's Skill Upgradation Center, Vilayat and Bharuch. The initiative intends to give training in skill sets like tailoring, Beautician competencies, basic IT skills, soft skills and supply chain and logistics management for sustainable livelihood generation. JBF finished a batch of trainees in various courses in April. Below is the snapshot of the training outcomes:

1. Neem Pulverization Unit
At Savli, Jubilant Bhartia Foundation team has facilitated Self Help Groups (SHGs) to start their own enterprise. The Neem Livelihood program focuses on environment based livelihoods and women empowerment. Under this initiative the Neem Pulverization unit is a project run by a Self-Help Group of women, facilitated by JBF. To maintain and uplift the quality of this enterprise, this month JBF conducted a series of quality control visits and made various changes in this process. As a result, the women are now more professionally equipped to handle production of Neem Powder.
