Jubilant Bhartia Foundation Medical Centre & Mobile Dispensary Services
The community healthcare initiative run by the Jubilant Bhartia Foundation provides public healthcare services in affordable, accessible, and equitable manner around 16 villages of our plant premises. Since its inception, our services have helped strengthen nearby basic healthcare facilities and empower the local populations to maintain their health. All underprivileged local residents who visit the Medical Centre and Mobile Dispensary get proper medical evaluation, medicines, and day-care services, as well as guidance and education on how to integrate healthier habits into their everyday lives. Our Jubilant Bhartia Foundation Medical Centre and mobile dispensary services diagnosed and delivered medicine to a total of 2257 patients in the month of October 2023.
Swasth Prahari: Awareness & Nutritional Kits Distribution to Pregnant Mothers
Swasth Prahari is a dedicated program aimed at enhancing the health and well-being of pregnant women, lactating mothers, children, and adolescent girls in the community. Through this initiative, we provided essential nutritional kits to over 28 pregnant mothers in 2 Anganwadis reaching to communities in Sarnar and Vahalu. The kits contain protein powder, folic iron and calcium tablets which are essential for the healthy development of the fetus and the well-being of mothers. Beyond kits distribution, we conducted insightful awareness campaigns, featuring brief presentations and a dynamic Q&A sessions, enlightening mothers on the paramount importance of nutrition during pregnancy and lactation. Together, we're nurturing healthier futures.
Swasth Prahari Malnutrition Programme: Poshan Maah Nutrition Kits Distribution & Awareness Camps
The Swasth Prahari initiative is a dedicated program aimed at improving the health and well-being of malnourished children, pregnant women, lactating mothers, and adolescent girls in the community.
As part of this initiative, in collaboration with the Gujarat Government's Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS) and the Taluka Health Division, we have committed to providing essential nutrition support to malnourished children in Vagra Taluka for three months.
Our Poshan Maah Kit distribution commenced in September 2023, and to date, we have distributed 400 Nutrition Kits to malnourished children in Vagra Taluka. This month, we organised a Mass Poshan Maah Kit distribution program at Ankot Primary School, providing 43 Nutritional Kits to identified Moderate Acute Malnutrition (MAM) and Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM) children across six villages: Vorasamni, Argama, Rahad, Juned, Ankot, and Saladara. The primary objective of this program is to enhance the nutritional status of malnourished children aged 0 to 6 years. Each Nutrition Kit included Pediasure Protein Powder (200 grams), Roasted Chana (500 grams), Irani Dates (500 grams), and Jaggery (1 kg).
The event featured esteemed guests, including Dr. J.S. Dulera - Chief District Health Officer (CDHO), Dr. Praveen Kumar Singh - Taluka Health Officer for Vagra, Ms. Ranjan - Child Development Project Officer (CDPO), Mr. Navneet Kumar Agarwal - Vice President, Manufacturing Accounts, Jubilant Ingrevia, Mr. Alkesh Rana - Public Relations Officer for Jubilant Infrastructure Limited, Dr. Hemant Chauhan - Senior Manager OHC, Dr. Shailesh Nakum - Deputy Manager CSR, Mr. Saurav Chakraborty - Deputy Manager CSR, among others.
These esteemed individuals graced the event with their presence and actively participated in the distribution of nutrition kits to the malnourished children. Additionally, Anganwadi workers from various villages, school teachers, and parents attended the event. Dr. J.S. Dulera and Dr. Shailesh Nakum addressed the gathered crowd, inspiring them to continue their efforts in ensuring the nutritional health and well-being of the children in the community. The project received overwhelming community praise, and the dedication of the Jubilant Bhartia Foundation CSR team was duly recognised.
Food & Nutrition Awareness Program
The Food & Nutrition Awareness Program, initiated by the Jubilant Bhartia Foundation, is committed to enhancing the overall health and well-being of the community. This initiative promotes sustainable dietary habits and lifestyles across various population segments, empowering individuals and families to make informed nutritional choices.
The program is currently operational in 10 villages: Vilayat, Vorasamni, Ankot, Rahad, Karmad, Bhersam, Vahalu, Sarnar, Saladara, and Argama. It encompasses primary schools, high schools, anganwadis, and the broader community.
As part of the initiative, awareness sessions were conducted within the primary schools. During these sessions, students engaged in educational games and activities aimed at instilling an understanding of the importance of proper nutrition, the concept of malnutrition, and distinguishing between healthy and unhealthy food choices for their bodies. The students actively participated in these sessions and acquired knowledge about various essential nutrients.
Furthermore, the program included home visits in all 10 villages, with a focus on community-level sensitisation and awareness. These visits were instrumental in gaining insight into the lifestyles of the residents and identifying factors that contribute to malnutrition within the communities. This allowed us to better understand the specific needs and challenges faced by these villagers, thereby enhancing our efforts to address malnutrition effectively.
Nutrition for Working Women: A Session with Female Employees
On October 27, 2023, an informative session aimed at addressing the nutritional needs of working women was organised for all female employees at Bharuch. The session was designed to equip female employees with essential knowledge on nutrition, covering a wide array of topics, including the significance of proper nutrition for working women, nutrition for reproductive-age women, understanding the nutritional needs during menstruation, as well as discussions on sanitation and hygiene practices. Additionally, the session featured the sharing of healthy and easy-to-cook recipes, encouraging women to adopt nutritious dietary habits in their busy lives.
With the active participation of 22 female employees, the session proved to be highly interactive. It provided a platform for open discussions on common nutritional myths and facts, enabling the participants to gain clarity on various dietary concerns. Furthermore, the session offered valuable health advice, empowering these women to make informed decisions regarding their nutritional well-being. This initiative is also a part of our commitment to creating a workplace culture that values the holistic well-being of our employees.
Muskaan Activities
Muskaan is an initiative that promotes creativity and innovation amongst young minds within Government Schools. These activities are thoughtfully structured and implemented as per a yearly schedule, with each month featuring a distinct theme aimed at enhancing and enriching extracurricular learning experiences.
This month, the Jubilant Bhartia Foundation Bharuch team successfully organised Speech & Poem Recitation Competitions across Government Primary Schools in the Vagra Block of Bharuch district. The objective behind these competitions was to encourage students to enhance their skills in speech, reading, and poetry recitation while fostering their overall development.
Muskaan Fellowship: Youth Development Programme
Muskaan Fellowship is a comprehensive year-long mentorship and training program tailored for rural adolescents. Its primary aim is to nurture leadership traits, guide participants towards a goal-oriented future, and foster active citizenship. This project empowers these young individuals to evolve into Master Trainers, who play a pivotal role as agents of positive change in our society. Through their voluntary efforts, these Master Trainers implement comprehensive Value Education and 21st-century life skills programs in Government Primary Schools, addressing critical themes such as Gender Empowerment, Leadership, and Goal-Oriented Mentoring to empower students to pursue their dreams.
In the fiscal year 2023-2024, we successfully mobilised a diverse group of young individuals from various communities. As part of our initiative, an orientation session was conducted for the newly selected Muskaan Fellows, who constitute the Muskaan Fellowship 2023-24 batch. During this orientation, the Fellows were provided with comprehensive information about the Muskaan Fellowship program, and they filled their application forms. The main objectives of this session were to build rapport, introduce the Fellows to their roles and responsibilities, and initiate the Learning Retreat (LR) sessions, a key component of the program. We are fully committed to this transformative program and eagerly anticipate the positive impact it will have on the lives of these young individuals and the communities they serve.
Muskaan Vigyanshaala: Micro Science Lab
The Muskaan Vigyanshaala: Micro Science Lab project is designed to nurture a passion for science among students from rural backgrounds. Under this initiative, the Jubilant Bhartia Foundation (JBF) has established Muskaan Vigyanshaala: Micro Science Labs in eight Government Primary Schools within the Bharuch region.
The implementation of Science Labs has significantly enhanced the overall learning experience for students, making science education into an enjoyable and engaging journey. Science teachers at these schools regularly conduct science classes with students, resulting in heightened engagement characterized by increased curiosity, creativity, and a deeper understanding of scientific concepts.
The Smart TVs provided by the Jubilant Bhartia Foundation are also valuable for conducting science classes in schools. These TVs are used to showcase science videos, and practical experiments are carried out with the assistance of science lab equipment also provided by the Foundation.
Honoring Excellence in Rural Science Education
The Jubilant Bhartia Foundation is dedicated to supporting science education in rural India and is committed to helping students reach their full potential in the field of science.
The winners from Nabipur High School's Science Fair, who were later chosen at the Bhrigu Rishi Vikas School level for the Science Exhibition, were honored by the Jubilant Bhartia Foundation for their exceptional Filament maker model (Sub-theme: Lifestyle for the environment) and Chandrayan 3 model (Sub-theme: Communication and Transport).
Jubilant Bhartia Foundation Bharuch team is delighted to acknowledge and celebrate the creativity and innovation showcased by these students in their scientific projects. Through the awarding of prizes, we aim to inspire and encourage these young achievers to further pursue their scientific interests.
Career Awareness Project
In collaboration with Unifiers Social Ventures Pvt. Ltd., the Jubilant Bhartia Foundation successfully executed the "Career Awareness" education project across 10 secondary government schools in Bharuch. This initiative aims to empower students by helping them discover their individual skills and talents, fostering the foundation for sustainable career paths.
As part of this initiative, informative career walls showcasing various career streams were installed in each school. Additionally, comprehensive career counseling handbooks were distributed, accompanied by engaging classroom counseling sessions. The project also included the administration of pretests and post-tests across all 10 participating schools.
This impactful initiative is benefiting a total of 1,557 students from all these 10 rural government high schools. The visible positive response from both students and dedicated teachers affirms the importance of career awareness. Students have begun actively exploring and planning their career pathways, while teachers express delight in witnessing the newfound enthusiasm and determination among their students. Together, we continue to equip our students with the knowledge and guidance necessary for a promising and empowered future.
Farmers Empowerment Project: Nano Urea & Sagarika Distribution to Farmers
The Farmers Empowerment Project, a collaboration between the Jubilant Bhartia Foundation Bharuch and FarmBridge Foundation, is dedicated to enhancing income generation in agriculture through value addition. This project's primary objectives include educating rural farmers in diverse farming techniques, offering livelihood support, and fostering innovative agricultural practices to empower farmers.
The program is presently in operation across 10 villages, namely Vilayat, Derol, Bhersam, Dayadara, Vahalu, Argama, Saladara, Rahad, Vahiyal, and Suthrel.
This month, we distributed Nano Fertilizers to the farmers, which will reduce their chemical input by 90% without compromising production. Moreover, we organised a session to inform farmers in all 10 villages about using drugs to control pigs and nilgai. A bottle of the medicine was provided to each village to demonstrate its effectiveness, aiding the community in gaining a better understanding and awareness of efficient animal control methods.
Soochnapreneur: Digital Community Project
The Soochnapreneur Project, a joint initiative of the Jubilant Bhartia Foundation and the Digital Empowerment Foundation, aims to connect rural residents with public and private information services, social security schemes, and government schemes announced by the state and central governments in a need-based, contextual, and affordable manner, as well as to increase their access to basic cyber services and digital literacy. Additionally, it emphasizes the livelihood, skill-building, and employability of rural youth and women
Under this program, ten women from Vagra Taluka, Bharuch, have been enrolled as Soochnapreneurs. They have undergone training and received digital resources such as laptops and printers to establish their own centres and offer a wide range of services to the community.
The Soochnapreneurs' Community Service Centres, skilfully run by dedicated Soochnapreneurs, efficiently meet the needs of the local community. These centres provide essential services and information, facilitating substantial income for the Soochnapreneurs. The Soochnapreneur Project exemplifies the transformative potential of grassroots initiatives, empowering individuals and strengthening the fabric of rural society.
Project Nayee Disha: Vocational Trainings at Bharuch & Vilayat Skill Upgradation Centres (SUC)s
Jubilant Bhartia Foundation, in collaboration with the Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (CED), a Government of Gujarat organization, has been running two Skill Upgradation Centres (SUC) at Bharuch and Vilayat since 2019, providing skill-based training to local community members with the intention of increasing employability in the community.
At the Skill Upgradation Centres in Vilayat and Bharuch under the Jubilant Bhartia Foundation, a diverse range of skill training courses is offered. These courses cover various skill sets such as Sewing Machine Operator, Beautician, Computer Operator and Programming Assistant (COPA), Electrician, Mehendi, and Basic Computer-Tally. The careful design of these courses aims to facilitate sustainable livelihood generation for individuals within the community.
This month, a Certification Programme was organised to recognise and award certificates to 141 students at the Skill Upgradation Centres in Vilayat and Bharuch. These students had successfully completed courses in Sewing Machine Operation, Beautician, Mehendi, and Basic Computer-Tally.
Exhibition for Sustainable Livelihoods
In partnership with Jan Shikshan Sansthan Bharuch, the Jubilant Bhartia Foundation Bharuch team organised an exhibition featuring Navratri and Diwali decorative handicraft items crafted by underprivileged women, elderly individuals, and people with disabilities.
The exhibition's purpose was to empower these artisans and establish sustainable livelihoods. A total of 5,579 was raised through sales, and all the proceeds will directly support underprivileged women, elderly individuals, and people with disabilities.
Street and Solar Lights Installation in Villages
Jubilant Bhartia Foundation is dedicated to improving the quality of life in nearby villages through strategic initiatives in Education, Health, Livelihood, and Rural Development. This month, as part of our Rural Development efforts, we installed 25 street lights in Vassi Village and 06 solar lights in Vagra Village.
The installation of street lights in Vassi Village and solar lights in Vagra Village is anticipated to yield numerous benefits for the respective communities. Firstly, these lights contribute to enhanced safety, providing well-lit pathways for residents during the evening hours. This initiative also fosters a sense of security within the communities, addressing safety concerns and creating a more secure environment.
Furthermore, improved lighting facilitates extended hours for economic activities, potentially boosting local businesses and fostering economic growth. Additionally, the installation aligns with our commitment to sustainable practices by incorporating solar lights, contributing to energy efficiency and minimizing environmental impact.
The installation of street lights in villages has garnered gratitude from the community. The increased brightness in the streets not only improves their daily lives but also symbolises progress and positive change within the community.

Nutrition Awareness Program Through Internship Project, 2023

Rural Development Initiative: 50 Street Lights Provided To Municipality, Gajraula
In order to contribute to the cause of rural development, Jubilant Bhartia Foundation has provided 50 lights to be installed and assembled around the city. The occasion was graced by the presence of Municipal Council Chairperson Rajendri, ex- MLA and sanitation co-ordinators Harpal Singh. Jubilant Ingrevia was represented by Public relations officer Sunil Dixit, and Social Welfare and Community Development manager, Gajraula, Vikash Kumar.
Career Counselling Project Inauguration
Career Counselling project is running in collaboration with Unifiers. The project aims to cater 3000 students of 9th and 10th standards in order to facilitate a professional help in order to provide them information based on which they can develop their career on.
The project at Gajraula was inaugurated at Gyan Bharti Inter college, in the gracious presence of Akanksha Pipil (Civil Judge, 2022 batch), Nidhi Chowdhary (Station House Officer, Women Police cell, Gajraula), Neelam Yadav (Bank Manager, Prathama Bank), Tejveer Singh Aluna (Retr. Army), P.G. Goswami (G.B.I, Principal).
Muskaan Fellowship, 2023
Muskaan Fellowship is a part of a project ‘Khushio Ki Pathshala’, in which Jubilant Bhartia Foundation regulates an year long fellowship with the fellows. The fellows aim to work upon the value based education in the government schools through creative activities. The project aims to inculcate the moral behavior and moral education in primary education, and leadership in the fellows and students. First Learning Retreat/Workshop was conducted with the fellows.

Eye Care Centre Inauguration at Jubilant Bhartia Medical Centre
An optometry unit has been extended at Jubilant Bhartia Foundation, Medical Centre, Gajraula. The inauguration ceremony was held in the gracious presence of DIG, and CMO Amroha.
Muskaan Kitaabghar: 250 Libraries Established
Jubilant Bhartia Foundation, in order to cater to the infrastructural aid to enhance literacy and establish library corners in government schools, has established 250 libraries across Amroha district.
HAQDARSHAK: Camps Organised in Villages
Multiple scheme card camp was organised at Shahbazpur Dor village. Ayushman card, labour card, income certificate, ration card, sewing machine form, pan card applications were facilitated at the camp.

Health Checkup Camp at Primary School Gardarwadi/Khandobachiwadi.
Jubilant Bhartia Foundation organised a health checkup camp at Z.P. Primary School Gardarwadi. The camp was free and open to all students.
A team of JBF Mobile Dispensary provided a primary health checkup. Over 186 students were participated in the camp. The team of Mobile dispensary provided a medicines as well. In addition to the health checkups, JBF also provided the variety of health topics, such as hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention. This camp provided the students with access to free healthcare. This is important because many people in the community cannot afford to pay healthcare. Also the camp provided the students with educational materials on a variety of health topics. This information can help people to make informed about their health and wellbeing.
JBF Career Awareness Program at 10 schools of Pune and Satara Disctricts.
Jubilant Bhartia Foundation and Unifier Pvt. Ltd. Collaborated to organize a career awareness Program at 10 Schools in Pune and Satara Districts. The program was conducted between 4th October and 12th October 2023. The objective of the program was to expose students to different career options and to help them make informed decisions about their future.
The program was conducted for students of classes 9th to 10th. The session was conducted by experienced professional Mr. Sharad Patole. Over 1331 students participated in the program. The feedback from the students was very positive. They said the program was very informative and helpful. They also said that they were more confident about making decisions about their future after attending in the program.
Haqdarshak Yojankendra Centre-Addhaar Card camp.
Jubilant Bhartia Foundation collaborated with Haqdarshak organised an Aadhaar Card update camp for the residents of Nira location. The camp was held at the Haqdarshak Centre in Nira, it was attended by over 100 people.
The camp was organised to help residents update their Aadhaar Cards with their current information.
