World HIV/AIDS Day celebration
Every year on 1st December, the world commemorates World AIDS Day. People around the world unite to show support for people who are living with HIV, to remember those who have died from AIDS and to spread awareness. The theme for World AIDS Day 2022 is ‘Putting Ourselves to the Test: Achieving Equity to End HIV’.
With an idea to provide immense support to this noble cause, JBF organised a rally on 1st December with inter-college students of Gajraula to raise awareness among people. Post rally, prize distribution ceremony was organised for the winners of the poster competition. Prizes were given by Mr. Himanshu Kr. Shukla - Unit Head & VP, Jubilant Ingrevia Limited, Mr. Sunil Dixit - PR Head and Mr. Suresh Kumar Gupta - Accounts Head.
Awareness session on Male sterilisation
No Scalpel Vasectomy awareness session was conducted by Mr. Jiten Gupta - In charge health services at CHC Gajraula with Jubilant Ingrevia workers at the RFL gate. To encourage maximum participation a scheme was also started from 3rd December, under which the beneficiaries were given Rs. 4000 and each referral earned Rs. 400.
Volunteers training for ‘END TB’ project
30 volunteers from the Ramabai Degree College were provided training under the END TB project. The training included awareness session on Tuberculosis, application and survey processes knowledge. The training helped these volunteers to do an effective household survey. A total of 250 surveys have been completed till now under this project.
Pashu Sakhi Project
Jubilant Bhartia Foundation in partnership with The Goat Trust started two projects on livestocks – Goat farming and Poultry farming. Under this project, 500 goat farmers and 100 poultry farmers got registered. 10 Pashu Sakhis were identified and trained to help these farmers by creating awareness on health, breeding, food etc. These Sakhis act as health agents for these goat and poultry farmers. The grading & selection of more Pashu Sakhi’s is underway.
So far the Pashu Sakhi goat project has registered 49 artificial inseminations, 133 deworming and 27 treatments. The Poultry project is ensuring regular monitoring of chicken.
Jubilant Bhartia Foundation Medical Centre (JBFMC) and Ayushmaan Card Campaign
With an objective to provide affordable health care facility, Jubilant Bhartia Foundation undertakes several community health care services. Initiatives like the Jubilant Bhartia Foundation Medical Centre (JBFMC) and Mobile Health Camp has helped us to empower community and strengthen the health care facility in the area at the same time. In November ’22, 1234 outgoing patients were registered at JBFMC and 1675 patients were registered through Mobile Dispensary. Along with this 119 ayushmaan cards were made.
CLAP Project (Continued Learning Access Project)
In order to address the issues related to online education, HP in collaboration with JBF started the CLAP (Continued Learning Access Project) project. Under this project, laptop and Wi-Fi facility is provided to the registered students. Currently 5052 beneficiaries have registered and 35 schools are covered. Total 543 beneficiaries have completed their 20 hours training on basic and advance computer skills, finance management and vocational courses.
534 students have completed their certification course with HP Life portal.
Digital Sakhi Project
Frontier Markets is the largest tech-first women-led social commerce platform connecting end-to-end solutions to rural customers via technology and women entrepreneurs. The strong network of 12,500+ women entrepreneurs called Saral Jeevan Sahelis, leverage their social networking skills. It basically focus on providing additional source of livelihood for Self Help Group (SHG) women.
‘Digital Sakhi’, a rural distribution platform by Frontier Market has been initiated at Gajraula. It is an initiative to promote rural women entrepreneurs along with connecting rural areas to the e-commerce platform. Currently, a total of 167 sahelis have been on-boarded out of 250 Sahelis. These Sahelis will take the order of FMCG, agriculture, & electronic products by doing door-to-door visits in their respective villages. In return they will earn a commission for every order placed by them. This week a total of 225 orders have been made through Saral Jeeven Sahelis from 12 villages.
Muskaan Vigyanshala
In order to promote science education among students of primary and upper primary school, JBF in collaboration with Agastya Foundation started the Muskaan Vigyaanshala project (Mobile Science Lab). With the help of different science models and several live experiments the learning was made so much fun and educative for the govt. school students. The students from 15 Upper Primary schools participated in the workshop. The total number of beneficiaries were at 467.

Blood Donation Camp
As a part of the employee engagement initiative, Jubilant Bhartia Foundation in association with the Rotary Club, Ankleshwar organised a blood donation camp on 12th November 2022. The camp was organised at the learning centre of Jubilant Ingrevia Limited’s manufacturing facility at Bharuch. The camp was a huge success with 207 units of blood donated in total by all Jubilant employees and contractual workers. It was amazing to see the incredible participation at all hierarchical levels supporting this noble cause.
Dr. Hemant Chauhan, Senior Manager of OHC along with the Jubilant Bhartia Foundation CSR team - Dr. Shailesh Nakum, Deputy Manager CSR, Mr. Saurav Chakraborty, Assistant Manager CSR, Ms. Sejal Chauhan, Jubilant CSR Fellow and CSR health team, were specially present at the blood donation camp site to ensure that the event is smoothly executed. CSR team gave special thanks to all the blood donors.
Malnutrition program - awareness camps & nutritional kits distribution
In collaboration with the Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS), the Jubilant Bhartia Foudation’s Bharuch team committed to support over 200 identified malnourished children in Vagra taluka for 3 months. The main goal of this program is to improve the nutrition of malnourished children aged between 0-6 years. This month, JBF carried out our 2nd nutrition kits distribution drive to all identified malnourished children in Vagra taluka. It also distributed kits to previously identified 200 malnourished children as well as newly found malnourished children.
‘End TB Project’ - Tuberculosis awareness & volunteer training
JBF is actively working towards elimination of tuberculosis. In order to on-board volunteers for the ‘End TB’ initiative, a tuberculosis training session and awareness campaign was actioned at Narmada College, Bharuch and Industrial Training Institute (ITI), Ankot. The session was led by Dr. Shailesh Nakum, Deputy Manager CSR and Dr. Hemant Chauhan, Senior Manager of OHC. They spoke about the signs, causes, treatments and the importance of early diagnosis. These volunteers will visit the villages of Vagra taluka and do symptomatic screening by visiting homes to search for any early signs of TB. Anyone who is found to be exhibiting any symptoms will be referred to a specialist for additional testing and medical care.
‘End TB Project’ - Nutritional kits distribution
In collaboration with the District Tuberculosis Division, Jubilant Bhartia Foundation’s Bharuch team committed to support over 40 active TB patients at Derol Primary Healthcare Center (PHC) & Navetha PHC in Vagra taluka for six months. The main goal of this program is to improve the nutrition & treatment of TB patients. A TB awareness session, signature campaign and the distribution of nutritional kits for TB patients was organised at Derol PHC. The ceremony was graced by Mr. Praveen Kumar, Taluka Health Officer for Vagra, Mr. Alkesh Rana, Public Relations Officer for Jubilant Infrastructure Limited, Dr. Shailesh Nakum, Deputy Manager CSR and Dr. Hemant Chauhan, Senior Manager of OHC and medical officers from Primary Healthcare Centres along with the CSR team.
Swasth Prahari - awareness & nutritional kits distribution to pregnant mothers
Pregnant mothers find it difficult to stay in high spirits all the time. It is difficult for a pregnant woman to have a healthy, well-rounded diet that will benefit both her and the unborn child with limited financial resources. A balanced diet and sufficient nutrition are crucial both during pregnancy and after delivery. As a result, the Swasth Prahari initiative of Jubilant Bhartia Foundation monitors the health of pregnant women. Under the Swasth Prahari initiative to enhance the nutritional health of pregnant women, we provided nutritional kits in the Vagra taluka. These nutritional kits will enhance the immunity of pregnant women and mothers. Eating meals rich in fibre, iron, calcium and other nutrients will also lower the incidents of congenital illnesses and nutritional deficits in babies.
Children’s Day celebration by CSR team & Muskaan fellows
Children’s Day is a special day to celebrate the joys of childhood and to recognise the importance of children in our lives. To celebrate this special day, we organised a fun-filled day with the Anganwadi kids. CSR team visited Vorasamani Anganwadi and engaged in fun games activities. The highlight of the festivities was the distribution of gifts. Much to the delight of the kids, it was a memorable Children’s Day full of entertainment.
Muskaan Fellowship project fellows also visited several schools to celebrate Children's Day with children. The fellows conducted drawing sessions, games, dancing, singing and a variety of other enjoyable activities for children.
Certificate distribution ceremony
With the intention to increase employability in the community, several training courses are initiated at Jubilant Bhartia Foundation’s Skill Upgradation Centres, Vilayat and Bharuch. The initiative intends to give skill training like Tailoring, Beautician, Basic IT skills, Soft skills, Supply chain and Logistics Management for sustainable livelihood generation. At our skill upgrading centres in Vilayat and Bharuch respectively, we hosted certificate ceremonies to award certificates to 131 trainees who had successfully completed the training courses. Mr. Vivek Prakash – Vice President & Head CSR presided over the certificate ceremony and awarded certificates to trainees.

Mobile dispensary special OPDs
Jubilant Bhartia Foundation, Savli operates a Mobile dispensary in 15 villages to offer accessible, affordable and equitable public healthcare services. In order to cover villages that have low population and low service index, a special OPD drive was organised on 3rd November 2022. In this drive, small villages were covered under OPD’s that are generally not covered in any other mobile dispensaries.
END TB initiative
Under the End Tuberculosis Initiative, Jubilant Bhartia Foundation, Savli supported 65 Drug sensitive TB Patients with nutritional care and support. This initiative is in association with PHC Savli and PHC Vadiya where the foundation is covering all its TB Patients to ensure speedy recovery. 100 Volunteers spread across entire Savli Taluka are continuously conducting household surveys to help the government identify all TB Patients and treat them under the’ END TB - TB Haarega, Desh Jeetega’ initiative.
School Health Camp at Pasva
On 17th November 2022, Jubilant Bhartia Foundation, Savli In association with LICHFL CSR, conducted a school camp at Pasva Prathmik Shala for all its students. Basic health screening was conducted and medical advice was provided basis their health card for further reference. A Total of 200+ students were covered.
Mobile Science Lab Inauguration
Jubilant Bhartia Foundation, Savli organised the Inauguration of Mobile Science Lab by Karchiya village’s key stakeholders in Savli. This Mobile Science Lab will conduct classes for children from VIth to VIIIth standards in 8 schools in order to inculcate innovation, practical, experiential learning curiosity and spark in the underprivileged students.
AIDS awareness camp
On the occasion of International HIV/AIDS Day, Jubilant Bhartia Foundation in association with LIC HFL and Jubilant Ingrevia conducted an awareness drive via various activities inside and outside the manufacturing facility in Savli.
Activity 1- Badge distribution and one to one awareness session in 3 shifts across 250 workers and employees.
Activity 2- Awareness session with workmen at various spots in plant.
Activity 3- Community awareness session at Juna Samlaya and Ranipura village to 80+ community member.

Jubilant Bhartia Foundation conducted ‘Health Awareness Program’ for JEMS kids
Health awareness program was conducted for student of JEMS, Nira. Dr. Sharmila Inamke sensitised about the importance of washing their hands before and after eating, exercising daily and the importance of playing games and inculcating other healthy habits. The children were asked to share their daily routines and the steps they take every day to maintain hygiene. The children learnt good hygiene practices from the session and promised to follow all the good habits. Ms. Sayali Funde (CSR) & Ms. Pradnya Kanade (Pharmacist) were present in this program.
KKP teachers conducted ‘JBF/PRAVAAH Values’ session
JBF/PRAVAAH module is based on providing value education. It creates a strong learning environment that enhances academic achievements and develops students’ social and relationship skills that lasts throughout their lives. Jubilant English Medium School, Nira conducted the JBF values sessions on the occasion of Children’s Day, 14th November. To witness this, JEMS, Nira invited facilitator Ms. Sayali Funde (CSR). This event was also covered and published in Sakal newspaper.
Giving a vibrant look to 20 classrooms of Pune district
Colours play a significant role in our lives. It also impacts attention levels resulting in strong memories in both long term and short term. This is the reason Jubilant Bhartia Foundation decided to give a colourful look to the 20 classrooms, making learning process fun, joyful and memorable for the students.
KKP Teachers Training
A training session for two days was successfully organised for Khushiyon Ki Paatshala (KKP) teachers at Samta Ashram School & Jr. College, Padegaon. Total 30 teachers were provided training by Ms. Sayali Funde (CSR). Mr Ajay Dhage (CSR) and encouraged them to imbibe the values within their students and to also make them aware them about the JBF’s contribution to the society through various initiatives.

JBF organised a self-protection training at the Jubilant Training Centre, Nira. The training was facilitated by Mr. Vikas Kale under which 30 teachers were successfully trained. Mr. Satish Bhat (Plant Head) encouraged women present to be independent, aware and safe.
