Jubilant Bhartia Foundation Medical Centre & Mobile Dispensary Services
Jubilant Bhartia Foundation Medical Centre & Mobile Dispensary Services helped strengthen nearby basic healthcare facilities and empower the local populations to maintain their health. All underprivileged local residents who visit the Medical Centre and Mobile Dispensary get proper medical evaluation, medicines, and day-care services, as well as guidance and education on how to integrate healthier habits into their everyday lives. Our Jubilant Bhartia Foundation Medical Centre and Mobile Dispensary Services diagnosed and delivered medicine to a total of 2245 patients in the month of November 2023.
End TB Project: Awareness Session & Nutritional Kits Distribution
In collaboration with the District Tuberculosis Division Bharuch, the Jubilant Bhartia Foundation (JBF) Bharuch team is dedicated to supporting over 55 active TB patients across Derol - Primary Healthcare Centre (PHC), Navetha PHC & Tankariya PHC for a duration of six months. The primary objective is to improve the nutrition and treatment outcomes for TB patients from marginalized communities.
This month, the JBF Bharuch team successfully conducted the inaugural Nutrition Kits Distribution Drive for all active TB patients. The initiative included extensive awareness campaigns emphasizing the importance of proper nutrition during TB treatment and the benefits of maintaining a healthy diet.
An event held at Derol PHC was attended by distinguished individuals, including Mr. Praveen Kumar (Taluka Health Officer, Vagra), Pradeep Kumar Nagar (Associate Director – EHS), Lallubhai Savjibhai Kar (Senior Manager - Environment Services), Mr. Aditya Burman (Senior Manager - Admin & Security), Dr. Hemant Chauhan (Senior Manager - OHC), Dr. Shailesh Nakum (Deputy Manager - CSR), Mr. Saurav Chakraborty (Deputy Manager - JBF CSR Gujarat), Ms. Sejal Chauhan (Education Coordinator - CSR), and Medical Officers from Primary Healthcare Centers, alongside the entire CSR team.
Muskaan Vigyanshaala: Micro Science Lab
The Muskaan Vigyanshaala: Micro Science Lab project is designed to nurture a passion for science among students from rural backgrounds. Under this initiative, the Jubilant Bhartia Foundation (JBF) has established Muskaan Vigyanshaala: Micro Science in Primary Schools across eight villages – Vorasamni, Vagra, Vilayat, Ankot, Rahad, Saladara, and Arethi – benefiting a total of 1422 students.
The implementation of Science Labs has significantly enhanced the overall learning experience for students, making science education into an enjoyable and engaging journey. Science teachers at these schools regularly conduct science classes with students, resulting in heightened engagement characterized by increased curiosity, creativity, and a deeper understanding of scientific concepts.
The Smart TVs provided by the Jubilant Bhartia Foundation are also valuable for conducting science classes in schools. These TVs are used to showcase science videos, and practical experiments are carried out with th e assistance of science lab equipment also provided by the Foundation.
HP World on Wheels Program
The HP World on Wheels Program, a collaborative effort between the Jubilant Bhartia Foundation and HP India Foundation, is dedicated to advancing digital literacy and education in rural India.
The HP World on Wheels initiative presents a digital learning lab housed within a bus, featuring 20 computer systems, 1 printer, 1 Smart TV with a home theatre, all equipped with Internet connectivity and powered by solar energy. Its principal aim is to promote digital literacy, facilitate E-education, provide Entrepreneurship training, and deliver various citizen services in rural areas.
During the Diwali break, we organized Computer Classes for students at Yuvak Mandal High School, benefiting a total of 23 students. These classes were designed to equip students with practical skills and knowledge essential for their academic and future endeavors.
Muskaan Fellowship: Youth Development Programme
Muskaan Fellowship is a comprehensive year-long mentorship and training program tailored for rural adolescents. Its primary aim is to nurture leadership traits, guide participants towards a goal-oriented future, and foster active citizenship. This project empowers these young individuals to evolve into Master Trainers, who play a pivotal role as agents of positive change in our society. Through their voluntary efforts, these Master Trainers implement comprehensive Value Education and 21st-century life skills programs in Government Primary Schools, addressing critical themes such as Gender Empowerment, Leadership, and Goal-Oriented Mentoring to empower students to pursue their dreams.
For the fiscal year 2023-2024, a diverse group of young individuals from various communities has been successfully mobilized. Following the orientation program, Learning Retreat 1 for the Muskaan Fellowship 2023-24 batch was conducted. The training covered topics such as Aspirations, Values, Attitudes, and Behaviors, along with Facilitation and Leadership, using engaging methodologies for effective learning.
This retreat aimed to enhance self-awareness, self-expression, and self-belief among the fellows, empowering them as individuals capable of leading value sessions in schools. Additionally, the training focused on values such as Equality, Courage, Honesty, Hope, Commitment, Kindness, and Respect. It not only laid the groundwork for conducting value sessions but also equipped them with the essential skills to implement these sessions effectively, fostering an environment conducive to learning and growth.
HP ALFA (Accessible Learning for All): Secondary and Higher Secondary Schools Digitalization Project
The Jubilant Bhartia Foundation (JBF), in partnership with HP India and the NIIT Foundation, has launched the HP Alfa (Accessible Learning for All) project. This initiative aims to bridge the digital divide by providing digital classrooms to government and government-aided secondary and higher secondary schools in remote areas with limited access to educational resources. Under this project, 28 schools have been equipped with digital screens, content devices, computers, printers, and other digital tools, transforming them into dynamic Smart Classrooms.
This project brings technology to the forefront of learning, offering an enriched educational environment that transcends traditional boundaries, benefiting more than 7,899 students. The fusion of technology and education equips students with new-age tools, preparing them for success in an increasingly digital world. The HP ALFA Project exemplifies the transformative impact of collaborative efforts, heralding a brighter future for education in rural Bharuch.
LIVELIHOOD
Farmers Empowerment Project
The Farmers Empowerment Project, a collaboration between the Jubilant Bhartia Foundation Bharuch and FarmBridge Foundation, is dedicated to enhancing income generation in agriculture through value addition. This project's primary objectives include educating rural farmers in diverse farming techniques, offering livelihood support, and fostering innovative agricultural practices to empower farmers.
The program is presently in operation across 10 villages, namely Vilayat, Derol, Bhersam, Dayadara, Vahalu, Argama, Saladara, Rahad, Vahiyal, and Suthrel.
This month, during our Farmers Empowerment Project meetings, we gathered feedback from farmers regarding the effectiveness of the medicines provided to control pigs and nilgai. The feedback from all villages has been overwhelmingly positive, affirming the high efficacy of these medicines.
Additionally, we conducted an insightful educational session on Drone Technology, showcasing its applications in farming. Farmers were introduced to the potential uses of drones in agriculture and were shown videos demonstrating their role in modern farming practices.
Soochnapreneur: Digital Community Project
The Soochnapreneur Project, a joint initiative of the Jubilant Bhartia Foundation and the Digital Empowerment Foundation, aims to connect rural residents with public and private information services, social security schemes, and government schemes announced by the state and central governments in a need-based, contextual, and affordable manner, as well as to increase their access to basic cyber services and digital literacy. Additionally, it emphasizes the livelihood, skill-building, and employability of rural youth and women.
Under this program, ten women from Vagra Taluka, Bharuch, have been enrolled as Soochnapreneurs. They have undergone training and received digital resources such as laptops and printers to establish their own centres and offer a wide range of services to the community.
The Soochnapreneurs' Community Service Centres, skilfully run by dedicated Soochnapreneurs, efficiently meet the needs of the local community. These centres provide essential services and information, facilitating substantial income for the Soochnapreneurs. The Soochnapreneur Project exemplifies the transformative potential of grassroots initiatives, empowering individuals and strengthening the fabric of rural society.
Project Nayee Disha: Vocational Trainings at Bharuch & Vilayat Skill Upgradation Centres (SUC)s
Jubilant Bhartia Foundation, in collaboration with the Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (CED), a Government of Gujarat organization, has been running two Skill Upgradation Centres (SUC) at Bharuch and Vilayat since 2019, providing skill-based training to local community members with the intention of increasing employability in the community.
At the Skill Upgradation Centres in Vilayat and Bharuch under the Jubilant Bhartia Foundation, a diverse range of skill training courses is offered. These courses cover various skill sets such as Sewing Machine Operator (SMO), Beautician, Computer Operator and Programming Assistant (COPA), Electrician, Mehendi, and Basic Computer-Tally. The careful design of these courses aims to facilitate sustainable livelihood generation for individuals within the community.
During this month, examinations were conducted for students enrolled in various courses offered at these centers. These assessments aimed to evaluate the students' comprehension, proficiency, and practical application of the skills taught throughout the duration of their respective courses. The examinations served as a comprehensive means to assess their learning outcomes and measure their readiness for future employment or entrepreneurial endeavors.

Highlights of The Month
Muskaan Fellowship 2023-24
Project Muskaan Fellowship is a new initiative of Jubilant Bhartia Foundation for the overall development of youths. The youth leadership-training program focuses on sensitizing and enhancing the capacity of youth on community issues and providing them an intense experiential learning journey with experts and mentors.
The program is intended to cater to two major development goals all-round development of youth and quality education in schools. The program will emphasize on facilitating the exchange of ideas and thematic discussions, building knowledge in various fields. This program will establish meaningful relationships with these future influencers through a series of skills modules, thematic workshops, fieldwork, exchange of ideas & being a part of the youth cohort network.
Muskaan Fellowship 2023-24 cohort constitutes 35 fellows at Gajraula. First training termed as A three-day engagement to conduct Learning Retreat 1 was scheduled to provide workshop based engagement to impart leadership skills that will be required and facilitated to the primary and upper primary government school students in Gajraula, Uttar Pradesh was conducted. Muskaan fellows further conducted the activities to enhance confidence, and leadership skills at Composite school Gajraula.
Ante-Natal Care Awareness Events
By taking insights from the data put forth by National Family Health Survey 5, which presents that Uttar Pradesh stands to be constituting 45.9 % pregnant women age 15-49 years who are anaemic (<11.0 g/dl) (%), Jubilant Bhartia Foundation, conducted awareness sessions to raise awareness among pregnant women about taking iron supplements by ICDS.
Career Awareness Project
To cater to the inter college students needs regarding their career, Jubilant Bhartia Foundation, Gajraula has acquired partnership with Unifiers Social Ventures Pvt. Ltd.
The project is aimed at working with 3000 inter college students across Gajraula. To further extend the execution, career counsellors conducted career counselling sessions with the school students.
In line, two grand events were also organised at Gyan Bharti Inter College, Gajraula, and H.C.M Kumrala, Gajraula, Uttar Pradesh in presence of the Manoj Jha (Vice President, and Site Head, Jubilant Ingrevia, Gajraula). Various professionals from different backgrounds participated. Akanksha Pipil (Judiciary), Nidhi Chowdhary, Jitender Singh (Bank Manager, Prathama Bank), Dr. Pallavi (MBBS), Abdul Salam (Retr. Gov. Teacher), Tejveer Singh Aluna (Ex-Army, GoI), etc participated in the event to mentor and guide the students regarding various career positions.
Nutrition Awareness Through Internship Program 2023-24
A participatory activity was organised for children in Primary School, Khungawli, Gajraula, Uttar Pradesh under the project ‘nutrition awareness program 2023-34’. Students participated in various different activities: skit, games, cultural dance and singing.
The project aims to enhance and facilitate better understanding about nutritional needs by ensuring local participation through interns.

JBF organized a Science exhibition to showcase the creativity and innovation of young minds. The exhibition was a platform for students to exhibit their scientific projects and compete for prizes. 27 students participated in the exhibition, showcasing their diverse talents and interests in science. The exhibition was valuable learning experience for students and a source of inspiration for future scientists. The event promoted scientific curiosity and provided a platform for young minds to showcase their talents and creativity.

Diwali with special abled children:
Under the JuBelief, Jubilant Bhartia Foundation in collaboration with Shree Sanwaliya Bahuddesiya Divyang School, Chittorgarh had made handcrafted diyas with specially able children. Mr. Mukesh Rathore – HOD, Engineering, and Mr. Piyush Kumar – Senior executive, Production from JACPL had actively taken part in the painting and packaging of 250 diyas. These hand-painted diyas have been sold to the Jubilant Employees and the revenue generated by it has been handed over to the school. The whole event was followed by the free health check-up of Specially abled children.

Sponsoring the Disrict Level Primary Sports Competition
To promote sports among the rural children, Jubilant Bhartia Foundation has sponsored the sport kits for the District Level Primary Sports Competition organised by Education Department of Chittorgarh at Government Upper Primary School, Medhi Ka Amrana, Chittorgarh, Rajasthan. More than 400 students had participated in the games like Kabaddi, 100 and 400 mtr race, Kho-Kho, athletics and Gymnastics
Debate Competition under the Muskaan initiative of JBF
Under the Muskaan initiative, the Jubilant Bhartia Foundation organises an essay writing competition at Government Senior Secondary School, Narela on the topic – “Online and Offline Education in India”. A total of 12 students participated in the debate competition.
HEALTH
Celebration of Global Handwashing Day
On the occasion of Global Hand Washing Day, Jubilant Bhartia Foundation conducted an awareness session on the six steps of hand washing day. The health team of JBF gave a demo on the seven steps of Hand Washing to 103 students. Dr. Satish Dhakar also took a session on the importance of hand hygiene at Government Senior Secondary School (Boys).
At the end of the awareness program, a free health camp was organised for school children.

Millets Day- Nutritional Millets Fair
Interschool Millets Mela was organised by Jubilant Bhartia Foundation Savli in Fatima school. Honouring the Millets year, this Mela was organised following a 4 day awareness workshop. 9 Teams made 9 different dishes from Millets like Kodri Khakhra, Kodri Pulao, rajgira and ragi laddu, jowar Sattu mix, kheer, etc. This was made by students, with little efforts and easily sourced ingredients.
Dermatology Special Camps
Jubilant Bhartia Foundation Savli, in collaboration with LIC, conducted a Special Dermatology Camp aimed at providing essential healthcare services to remote villages. Dr. Kalpesh Prajapati, MD in dermatology, led the medical team and addressed specific dermatological cases, offering crucial references and dispensing necessary medications.

This initiative reflects the commitment of Jubilant Bhartia Foundation Savli and LIC towards addressing healthcare needs in underserved communities various cultural events. They expressed their gratitude towards Jubilant Bhartia Foundation for supporting the school’s development and wellbeing.
Community Interface Meet
Jubilant Bhartia Foundation Savli organised it's Community Interface Meeting 2023-24 at Fatima School. 170 participants comprising of Health officers, Education Officials, Talatis, Sarpanches, Opinion leaders, Farmers and other beneficiaries of Juna Samlaya,Karachiya and Pasva participated in this meeting. Site head and HR head of Jubilant Ingrevia Limited and Jubilant Agri and Consumer Products addressed the participants explaining about the plant and the products manufactured. Safety team provided Fire and safety training. Presentation regarding the CSR projects of JBF was given. Initiatives were appreciated, the concerns were addressed and suggestions were noted.
